October 7 Site Update Updated. The links to the tests are gone, and the other buttons have changed. The labels for the remaining links have been changed to "New Recruits", "Recruitment Update" (which leads to a message stating that the results will be released in December), and "Registered Recruits"
The home page now says "Test Results Available After December 15, 2008

Hmm... I very hope, the pause is intentional before the big action begins (in some day). Elsewise...
Fortunately, Lost Season 3 is arrived to my post box. Time to watch it (OK, I know, everybody have seen it already, but at least something)

I am unable to get around to the site for a few days... busy in RL... and the test is taken down completely?
I've wasted the past few weeks taking these tests only to not be able to take the last one?
I am SO ridiculously peeved.

Actually, by finishing the other tests you *did* finish the last one. Go to the dedicated thread here for the whole scoop!

Spec - all the tests were just pre-game, and the game proper will start in December.
....but I also suspect that's wishful thinking..

Hmmm. Well, guess I'll go find something else to do and hope I'm not busy playing a different game in TWO BLOODY MONTHS.

Dharma ID and Birthdate <<>> New Recruit Registering Page Hey, at the registering page:
i.What is the significance of the date ( Jul 17 '78 )?
ii.And how is the dharma ID generated? (a code? the coded date of registering?...)
i
it almost looks like July in the year 1778, but I didnt find any interesting event while searching for that date.
[edit: okay, i just found, that Jean Jacques Rousseau ("Patience is bitter, but its fruit is sweet") died on the 2nd of July in 1778 in Ermenonville near Paris]
-Death of JJRousseau 2nd July 1778 in Ermenonville
ii
Some dharma IDs after clicking again on "new recruit":
94502035432
94505885756
94508915868
94502935544
94507895899
94504845105
94505455254
The Dharma IDs I got (I registered in the beginning of the ARG) is something with:
8450xxxxxxx

You can still do tests if you use another http:
Here for tests 1 and 2:
http://www.dharmawantsyou.com/site/bin/Wife2_18.swf?config=http://wdig.vo.llnwd.net/d1/mktg/DWY/conf/live18_config.xml&recruiter=&usertestid=
I just changed the "live27_config.xml" in the adress line to "live18_config.xml"

Something else:
This is the newest startup.srt file:
http://wdig.vo.llnwd.net/d1/mktg/DWY/conf/live26_startup.srt
If you compare it to older ones e.g. live25_startup
(http://wdig.vo.llnwd.net/d1/mktg/DWY/conf/live25_startup.srt)
You will recognize, that there is one new line in the beginning of the document:
locations_to_swfs_map["results"] = "http://wdig.vo.llnwd.net/d1/mktg/DWY_DEV/~47~"
Could it be, that our results are stored somewhere and hackable?

Maybe, but unless we get an IG hint they want us to get at those results using actual "hacking" methods, or any other methods for that matter, I don't think it would be a good idea. Hacking games for their own sake (except, of course, things like checking images for steganographic clues) is a big no-no in ARGs.

yep this is not a good idea. When I was going along with the cloverfield ARE some guys hacked some sites and the backlash was unbelievable.

Yeah, that's exactly what I was thinking of when I wrote that post. Cloverfield got pretty insane, for sure. I'm glad I lurked on that one.
