Hmmmm

2 pointers for you (I think I got a lot of this stage solved *but* not 100% - I'll try and post a "solution" later when I cant type it up).

It is VERY clever!

Some initial pointers. Firstly the class signs are crucial. As isthe crystal and the reference to the old anime (alreayd mentioned: darkstar).

In essence it is a riddle - the key for which is http://synydyne.com/hoopeston/

From there you should be able to jump to here (google Correllian Chancellor)
http://www.correllian.com/alphabet.htm

Look familiar?

Also someone mentioned reference to the "equation" shown wit hone of the class signs - tis proved crucial on deciphering some stuff.

However what I have so far points me at something that doesnt appear to exist yet - so either I am wrogn or I slipped a step Razz

(btw you need to think about this VERY analytically)

I personally don't believe this has anything in common with Hoopeston aside from the production team.

Currently, Mike Russo's number is not being answered and occasionally says out of service. However, it appears the MTC number is up and running again.

I just called, and a man answered, but it's not Todd.

When he answered, it was informal. He said "Hello?" a few times, before finally saying "Milwaukee Tourism Commission" but not providing a name. He said something about being "very busy" in a rather rude manner, and I had to ask him his name. We've got a new name, folks: Joey. I asked Joey for information about Blackstar, and he suddenly sounded nervous and shaky.

"I can't talk about that right now. Hold on."

Some rustling in the background, then he's whispering. He says everything is being recorded, but took my e-mail address (they now have it like... eight times.) and told me to wait for an e-mail with some answers.

Do note that there is a countdown on the website (53 days remaining). On January 16th, 2009 at Noon (Central time) it will hit 0.

That's a long ways off but I'm guessing they wanted to wait until after the holidays.

Someone needs to ask about that date when they call MTC. I'd do it but I just called and don't wanna seem suspicious.

Yes, it would help out a lot if you guys could just list the phone numbers you have, so everyone is up to speed. Thanks.

Regarding the SYNYDYNE Hoopeston page, that picture of the water tower is from the third logo [nimprojects.com] at the bottom of the original This is My Milwaukee page.

Don't know if this'll lead anywhere eventually, but just a heads up. Also, I've emailed that Mr. Pedrick asking about his work on the My Milwaukee page.

Anyway, phone numbers:

414-688-8914
Mike Russo's Home Phone

Sorry, both phone numbers are already listed within this thread but I'll re-post.

Mike Russo: 414-688-8914
MTC: 414-688-7035

Originally, a caller got it from "Todd the temp" but as of this morning it was listed on the MTC's voicemail to call that number in case of 'emergency'.

I don't think...

this really has anything to do with the movie... seems kind of a lot to support a documentary that not a lot of people are ever going to see.

Could be a way to gather interest for it but, the connections don't seem strong enough. Would this make you want to buy the DVD? Not me.

Yes the production company and director are the same for both, but someone had to make the video. And maybe whoever is behind the ARG liked Hoopeston and hired synydyne for the ARG video.

Has anyone been able to work out what's actually said on the voicemail message? I can just about hear the second female voice properly, but the only bit I caught in the first message (the male voice) was "until further notice".
