Voltaire Human

They just don't understand the class system.

They're admiring his status without really understanding it.

Someone should call and ask what to expect if you're polyskilled or powerclass 45.

I just replied to the whole cc list asking for the corrected version of the booklet as well as any specific relocation details I might need as a former Wichita resident.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Voltaire

Quote:
François-Marie Arouet (21 November 1694 – 30 May 1778), better known by the pen name Voltaire, was a French Enlightenment writer, essayist, and philosopher known for his wit, philosophical sport, and defense of civil liberties, including freedom of religion and free trade.

Voltaire was a prolific writer, and produced works in almost every literary form, authoring plays, poetry, novels, essays, historical and scientific works, over 20,000 letters and over two thousand books and pamphlets.

He was an outspoken supporter of social reform despite strict censorship laws and harsh penalties for those who broke them. A satirical polemicist, he frequently made use of his works to criticize Catholic Church dogma and the French institutions of his day.

Voltaire was one of several Enlightenment figures (along with Montesquieu, John Locke, Thomas Hobbes and Jean-Jacques Rousseau) whose works and ideas influenced important thinkers of both the American and French Revolutions.

Hmm...

"Me Decade"

Ultimate Warrior

I think these point to DORS 27 through 18 being the 1980's.

The Creep?

Maybe The Creep is another name for Basketball Kid or the Worker or Terry Nanny. Razz

They ask "what" not "who". Perhaps the creep is a thing, not a person.

I really think the two graphs on pages 26 & 27 are key to figuring out what's going on. Notice, for instance, the blank slots on the bottom row of the graph on p.27. I think it's pretty obvious we are supposed to figure out what goes there. QUATI fits, but since the other rows have numbers in those slots I guess that's out of the question.

Either way, I think an answer is sitting in those graphs. Sadly, I don't know what to do with them...

I'm wondering if the DOR 4 and ACT 5 Blackstar Merger are one and the same? Would mean that the ACT's go alongside DOR's, similar to how we have Millennium, Century, Decades and Years.

On the flip side of that, if it is progressive in an BC/AD kind of way, I'd imagine the TRO 132: Ethra killed in Peoria siege to be within the 300 troubles (300 years of trouble as someone pointed out earlier), then the ACT 3 could be the 300th year, and then the ACTS are a century rather than a year. Possibly wrong, but just another way of looking at it.
