However, someone did say when talking to Mike about the Creep that he "wants to believe it's a series of intelligences into one," which might make it possibly a hive mind? I believe also that someone sussed out GoDSEED is responsible for Creep, and furthermore that GoDSEED fragments are capable of mutating people (can't remember where these two accounts were). it is revealed that Mike Russo's favorite beverage is Tomato Juice. Maybe an ad lib, but it's definitely a red drink. He also says he likes Bloody Mary's.

FWIW, Vermouth is sometimes red; Tequila comes from the Blue Agave plant and the "good stuff" (100% agave) can appear somewhat greenish.

This can't all be a coincidence. I'm really starting to believe that red = rebels and blue = blackstar operatives.

I just thought I'd highlight that this is the opposite of what we'd expect...since Go.D.S.E.E.D. is buried currently, we'd expect that we are now living in a dormant era...but we're not (dum dum DUM!).

Not exactly. Blue isn't significant in terms of color imagery (at least, not yet). It's green that's so important.

Another thing to keep in mind is that green has traditionally been a color symbolizing "rebirth" (in keeping with the obvious allusions to nature). It seems that the human population is trying to do just that in terms of rebuilding, so it would make sense that green (casket, fennel, etc.) is associated with them.

Also, I don't think that the green areas on the "map" are a coincidence. Perhaps it's mapping out populated areas, or at least areas that are or are planning to be rebuilt? This has been suggested before, but the color symbolism lends a little more validity to this idea.

Edit: Also, Mars Madison's name fits in with this color idea. Mars is known as the "red planet," so it fits in with the rest of the Blackstar characters so far.

I would say you have something there except, if red is supposed to be the color to represent Blackstar, then Mars simply can't fit. She hasn't been indoctrinated yet, and despite being friends with Laroux (whose name also fits the red theme), she's a freelancer and more likely, I think, to be on the side of the rebels if she's anywhere.

I don't know of any mainstream .pdf sharing sites. It might be best for the moment to just throw it up on Megaupload, Rapidshare, or Mediafire, just to get it out.

Here we go:
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=PGUCACTN

It looks kind of like a map. It was sent from a Kinko's in the 212 area code (NY)

It does. Didn't someone find spots in New York that had Blackstar stickers? From first appearances, it looks to be either a map of reference (you find the symbols in town, then triangulate the 'X' if it has all the significance of a normal 'X' on a map), or an overlay map of somesort, where we might find different parts of this over time, and put them together to actually find what we're looking for.

There is a very handy thread just for faxes and discussion of faxes right here.

On a further note - if the rebreathers are to protect us from the GoDSEED fragments which we assume is because the GoDSEED fragments are capable of exuding or expelling some kind of toxin, presumably airborne, then maybe the reason GoDSEED fragments can't destroy the Creep is because 'it/they' has/have no functioning respiratory system?

Basically, what I'm saying here is: If GoDSEED created Creep, and GoDSEED fragments mutate people, and Creep can't be destroyed by GoDSEED, maybe Creep is what happens to people when GoDSEED fragments get the better of them? If not zombies, still a possible connection.

Also - fax looks like a map, but a pretty damned featureless one. Anyone wanna take a shot at deciphering it with dark dollars?

What Dark Dollar arrangements? I couldn't find any references to what you're talking about in a search.

It's in the first page of the Milwaukee - A Reasonable Haven Book
They have the same symbols, that's all.
