Maybe the Go.D.S.E.E.D. fragments ate our information packets. Laughing

or we'll find out there really was no story or meaning, but our overpowering analysis actually made sense out of the nonsense and we created our own story and plot... Razz

But yeah, if we actually have created a story out of random crap, that would be hilarious *and* frustrating at the same time. Bang Head Laughing

I just have to tell you that sounds exactly like something I would say. Good job! Laughing

and I'm starting to feel swindled.

Am I missing something? They did say monday, right?

And they took down email addresses.

Fax numbers too. I've been staring at my inbox twiddling my thumbs since 9am this morning. I am beginning to think that nothing is coming.

Maybe it's the most insidious email/fax farming operation, and they'll sell all of the info to spam advertisers Razz

Don't even say such things! (Glad I used a friend's fax number and an alternate email address)

When i talked to Joey last wednesday, he said they would be sending out info "probably monday, but definitely sometime early next week" so there is an unfortunate possibility that we may have to wait another day or so... Dunno

No one's gotten through today?

So Joey isn't on duty.

Try calling Mike after 5pm EST and I'll bet he has a new story about intern trouble.

Or he won't answer, they're overwhelmed, and they didn't plan this out at all.

[meta] I honestly doubt that this has all been a wind-up. I don't think they would have gone to all the trouble they have so far with no intention of carrying on. I think it IS possible/probable that they've found themselves a little in over their heads, however.

Having checked out most of the people credited in the video, it's also incredibly unlikely that this is a contact-details-gathering expedition. The people involved are very talented filmmakers, web interface designers, improv actors and composers.

Whether there is big money behind this or not, it seems pretty clear they weren't expecting the extent of avid responses they've received - and if they're looking to launch new websites to accompany the info packets, there could be all kinds of possible delays going on.

And heck - the one known timeframe we have is a countdown leading to mid-January... I would prefer that they take their time and do each step well than rush it out and provide a lesser experience for it. [/meta]

agreed, there is too much at stake here! Im going to go down to the milwaukee post office after work today and confirm that this PO box exists, and see what (if anything) i can find out about who owns it. but i'm afraid the post office probably wont be able to disclose any details...

Just for laughs, you should tape a picture of a "Family Tree" on the outside of the box. I bet it would freak out the PMs. Laughing

Even so, some kind of signal from the other side would be very kind. Maybe our mystery-NYPL-YouTube friend could upload a video of an overheard argument between Mike Russo and Michael about info packet delays? I can see it now - the camera is on autofocus so we alternately get clear shots of a coffee mug, a stapler and a pencil. The dudes are shouting. We can hear someone typing. The camera is jostled and switches off.

Alternately they could just send out an email to their faithful followers to say that it's still pending.

I did. The day this thing began, which was just over a week ago. I requested information... I'll let y'all know if I get anything back.
