VOICE: Who is it?
Why, it's Damon and Carlton, here to give you your very own free Dharma Initiative Namaste ringtone.
Yes, this week we have a special free Namaste ringtone for you guys. For this complimentary content, just text "Namaste" to 77888 to get started.
And now the legal jargon: By texting the above keyword, your number will be registered on the ABC mobile site. Standard text and data messaging fees apply. You will not be part of ABC mobile subscription. Terms and conditions at abcmobile.playp.biz.. For support or inquiries call 866-853-9793. The ringtone is only available for a 48 hour period (12/8/08-12/10/08). Hurry and get yours now.
yeah, i don't read that email account every day, so this is rather late news... but I was just wondering: What exactly does a Namaste ringtone sound like?

Like utter crap. I would never use it, nor know anyone who would. DarkUFO has it posted HERE .

Lighthouse will show the way

To be honest, I think the lighthouse guess was dead on. At least that's the first thing that came to mind for me. Remember that the Dharma logos are more symbolic in essence.
The use of the two lights coming out of each side in the logo is mostly used by the lighthouse for its dual lights in rotation. Examples below:

Other thing that came to mind....a siren . Might it be the Slomans Shield Station?

I Votte: Lighthouse I also agree with the Lighthouse choice.
Pure [SPEC] here but, I think that it may be the DHARMA logo for the "Temple". The Temple looked, on the map, to be close to the shore and using the 'beacon in the darkness' icon to represent a 'temple' is pretty fitting.

That would make a lot of sense actually.

I'm of the street light concept. Personally, I think it could be like the Chronicles of Narnia, where the light post was at the entrance to Narnia. Could be the station that gets them to the island.

Just for fun I played around with the image a bit.
I'm now using the second one, centered, as my desktop.

week 4 password This weeks password is kapalaran
This one has given my some problems but I think that I may have found the proper source for this one. The Misamis Occidental province in the Philippines contains Tangub City , within which is a barangay named 'Capalaran'. Of interest here is this little factoid from the wiki entry for Tangub City; "It is known as the Christmas Capital of Mindanao for its display of the holiday's famous symbols." Given the holiday theme of this weeks DSA it seems to fit...
EDIT: black swan over at LOSTARGs is reporting that it also means 'destiny'. May help to tie this to Ajira...

Just a theory After watching the video from DSA i've kinda came up with a theory for the new Dharma icon.
Lets say it is a lighthouse or beacon. One of the questions asked kinda got me thinking. Remember the airport construction? What if this lighthouse or beacon is for that. A way for Jack and others to find their way back to the island. The use of the new airline has to be involved some how into the show, and we have the runway, a new station, I mean its just my theory. I would like to hear everyone elses.

Another DSA email, another Darlton video. At the end is a promo for Ajira Airways , which seems to coincide with the relaunch of the site earlier today. Access code for DSA this week is emal -- lame backwards?
