I've checked the .MP3 in audacity though I couldn't see anything. And I tried to use the camouflage programme on the MI5 image with no luck though I could have used the wrong password.

still worth you double checking though

Ideally we'd need software that can demodulate a modem/fax signal. But this seems to be impossible soft-ware wise at the moment.

Someone was talking about feeding the audio via speakers into a modem earlier, has there been any luck?

I know my way around brute-forcing and dictionary/rainbowtable attacks and I'm aswell as many others in this thread completely new to ARG's.

I did actually get the password for "dashboard.rar" quite early through a dictionary attack, but right after that I found the link to ARG Player Tutorial

and noticed that brute-forcing was something that "thou shall not do". So I kept quiet. Correct me if I'm wrong, but those golden rules should be applied to this type of game?

Cheers anyway! This is getting really interested. I emailed the Benefactors but haven't recieved any answer in like 5-6 hours, I don't expect to get any.

Edit 2: Anyone else thinking we should have told Andy to go to Bournemouth for his extended break, instead of Cornwall?

Let's hope he already knows about it. However, I don't think he's headed for Cornwall. He told you he knows he's being watched so why should he announce his real plans for everybody to see?

Because he told me in 'secret.txt' he was going to Cornwall, too.

Zyril - You are correct although giving us the pw earlier wouldn't have been a bad deal Wink

I kind of don't like how ATS got ahold of this, no offence to them AT ALL (As I am an established member there lol) But, as CT's a lot of them don't play ARGs or know the ruling of them and kind of take them WAY too seriously lol.

On a sidenote why is EVERYONE skipping over the whole "Half Life 3" thing? - Or are you guys leaving it to me, as he gave it to me personally and instructed Amandel (I think?) That I was one he trusted?

I see that while I was trying to figure out how best to post the mapped "gibberish", the dashboard.rar file was successfully opened and its contents shared here. Ah well, I guess that means the gibberish was just la-la afterall. Glad that file was finally cracked.

@ Leyton -- I Googled the *Half Life 3* clue, but other than a lot of HL3 game related hits, nada yet.

Is it just me, or does it sound Latin to anyone else?

We're going along a Latin route it seems (With Andi at least).

It does sound latin to me, but when I did a google search on it, it asked me if I meant vailotonthe co'mofranextende so I said sure. it still didn't come up with anything, but runnning it through google translator and asking it to detect the language says that it's serbian. but it didn't translate..

EDIT: oops...serbian is latin. I feel silly.

I got this:

I m already lots on the basis of certain member d.d. 'm r well over vast

?

I googled half life 3 earlier too, to no avail and I tried using its values for the dashboard as it was still unopened at that point.

Other than that I'm at a loss.

As with regard to the italics and underlined letters i put them into an anagram solver earlier and there were hundreds of results. so I looked for keywords such as the Tempus Fugit from earlier. I left it to go back to dashboard at that point so I may pick it up again tomorrow.

How was Uni today Cog? Wink

Yeah I'm thinking maybe Andy will pop up on AIM tomorrow or something, he gave absolutely NO specifics as to whether it was the end of a website addy, email addy, Screen-Name. Just "Half Life 3" bolded.

So so I hate 1800 finishes I'm drained by that point!!

Could the half life be related to the rockets on the G A home page? Maybe its a clue to somthing else half life related? G-man, Crowbar, Combine, Gorden?

Also just a last point before I'm off project for a new British century is still down have we had any thoughts?

Hopefully well get some more leads tomorrow.
