wow looks like I missed a lot...just caught up after seeing the thread going from 3 to 20+ pages in a day.

I think the fact that this arg has been thought to be actual reality is interesting, shows what can be done with a simple game. Many choose not to create a story that could fit in reality because of the issue of people freaking out...props to the developers for actually making this, it takes a bit of guts, especially using a story involving terrorism.

To those thinking of leaving simply because of trolls and controversy, shame on you. Simply ignore those posts. We know it is a game, why let those who do not understand the meaning of an ARG to destroy it for you? Why allow trolls to ruin a game which people have worked there arse off to develop for your entertainment? Ya maybe it isn't the most organized ARG you have played, but have you thought about what the developers have been going through to not only stay IG and in character, but also to fend off allegations of this being truth...give them a break.

Ok that's all for my ranting...sorry...now back to the game

A few things I've noticed going through all the posts, and stuff still needing to be figured out...

- Leyton got a response from the Benefactors saying that they have acted and "A...problem. Has been. Solved. No more. Shall. The progress. Become. Hindered." (this is on pg 23 of this thread) -- to me this seems as though they have already killed the Hawk

- therefore half life 3 may not be any kind of sn or something
maybe its an anagram
code to something we may find soon
pertains to a friend of his we should contact

- i'm thinking Trust may become an issue in this so I made a list, certain people may be able to get different information...
Echo's / untrustworthy: Cog, Leyton. Trillian
Trustworthy: Recruit 112 (Raltenbach), Recruit 37 (Leyton -- the double agent), Recruit 68 (VAWE34)

- 825 of us? is it a random number? have 825 different people really contacted them? we should find out if this number has gone down or up.

I'd agree with that being the u.s capital building...as jayembee pointed out it is a pic on the site, and it just fits.

- nothing still has come up with that phone number from the mp3 file, I'm thinking that wasn't what we were supposed to get from it XD

Without having full on proof GerM would be "Recruit01" is it really safe to say we can add people to the roster? I mean heck it's your Wiki do as you want; but I've noticed a lot of ARGs go awray because of improper info or "Gamejacking"

Again. I'm not saying GerM's not telling the truth but for him to have been dubbed "Recruit01" of all recruit numbers he seemingly must have been involved pretty early on.

ETA: I only emphasise that b/c of all the evident gamejackin/fearmongering going on previously. And the fact that I was the first out of the previous 3 to have been given a recruit number out of everyone in contact w/ the Benefactors and yet was given a number as high as 37 (although VAWE says they're 34) And the other was in the hundreds - A Recruit01 would be a serious player.
