Unfortunately I have nothing to add to the puzzle, but as some possibly relevant "background", Googling "star 86" led me to some info about Gliese 86, a Sun-like star with a confirmed planet in orbit:

Something to keep in mind for the future?

integer linear programming (ILP)?
Anyone know about it?
Might be needed to solve whatever it is that we can't exactly 'see' yet.

Also, we are taking a hyperplane and asking where the optimum lies relative to it.

I found this algorithm:
Quote:
Let S={s 1, s 2,...,s n } be a set of sites in E d , where every site s i has a positive real weight ohgr i . This paper gives an algorithm to find a weighted orthogonal L infin-approximation hyperplane for S. The algorithm is shown to require O(nlogn) time and O(n) space for d=2, and O(n [d/2+1]) time and O(n [(d+1)/2]) space for d>2. The L infin-approximation algorithm will be adapted to solve the problem of finding the width of a set of n points in E d , and the problem of finding a stabbing hyperplane for a set of n hyperspheres in E d with varying radii. The time and space complexities of the width and stabbing algorithms are seen to be the same as those of the L infin-approximation algorithm.

Edited to add the algorithm====

If I had any idea what those math words meant I'd jump on it, unfortunately I'm just a religion major

It is that "20 hyperplane" phrase that got me to that page. I really don't understand yet how to interpret 20 hyperplane, unless those coords are also points to be placed into an algorithm?

Hopefully some rocket scientist will chime in.
It ain't me.

position :50 of the video

Does anybody else see words in that slide of what looks like strand of hair at position :50 seconds into the video?

I see can you.
I see a 'W" for sure.

Anybody have the time to do some image work on that part?
OR am I just seeing what they call artifact?

re:position :50 of the video

well, I just tried some filters and such and there doesn't seem to be anything note worthy.
There is a smudge or cloudy are at 50-51 lower right side that seems like it does not belong there, but my image software is way below par. I just installed this linux desktop and have no good image software yet.

I think the hyperplane appearance in the video was to lead us to http://stareightsix.com/hyperplane. I have a hunch we're done with the video clue now. I suspect now we're waiting on the PM responding to one of the last batch of emails now that we've found the stegged text in the image from /sources and worked out it's significance.

I wonder if contact was made already - on a cellular level?
Maybe there is a way to determine this via blood tests - by digging through certain strands of junk dna?

I'm really ready for the next clues to pop up

Well, either we're waiting or we're stumped. I'm out of ideas at the moment.

I have, however, quite by accident, learned a crap-ton by looking up stuff that might somehow be related but probably isn't!

So I guess that's good, right? Smile

can't hurt IMO, jaybill
