I am a php developer by trade and I agree that the error above does suggest that the account name used was "jaybill". I have no such account at godaddy (I do have an account under a different username at godaddy for domains/DNS, but not hosting - "jaybill" was taken when I signed up)

Good enough for me.

It's extremely odd how the one guy who blogged about it's name ends up being part of the URL though; I swear ARG's are becoming weirder every week lol.

Anyway, I guess it's the waiting game for now. I've submitted my answer along w/ my email address but as of yet, recieved nothing. I'm assuming the PM's want to see if they get a certain number of responses before proceeding.

Glad to help, especially since I already have a weekend's worth of thinking invested in getting this far. Wink I've only really played one other ARG before (ilovebees) and I didn't get that far with it and I got in really late.

I discovered unfiction by googling "stareightsix". Amusingly, this thread already seems to outrank 1) stareightsix.com 2) my blog post about it 3) my digg of the initial video on youtube

To echo AmazingLarry, I can't believe you guys figured out in 30-odd minutes what took the two of us and our bigger-brained (who I emailed about this thread, I hope he chimes in) most of a day. (And we still hadn't figured out the cipher.) It seems we have come to the right place. Also, I feel dumb. Smile

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
So speaking of the cipher: Does the extra "I" in "INCREDIBILE" constitute a spelling mistake or a clue?

We'll have to wait and see, when they respond I guess. It could be either or.

To answer Leyton's question from earlier as to how I got the answer to the original question... I wish I could claim that I solved the puzzle, but I didn't... I just looked at the source code... I am however still trying to figure out the answer even though I have the answer, for my own sake...

Sorry!

OK, long version of the "Verify" solution:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Each pie symbol represents a number, with an "empty" pie representing 0, progressing in "quarter-pie" digits up to a "full" pie representing 4. So it's a base-5 system, where the ones column resets after five digits. Thus "5" would be written as "10", with the "1" represented by a quarter-pie and the "0" represented by an empty pie.

Using this system, the rows on the image grid are labelled 0, 1, 2; columns are labelled 0, 1, 2, 3. If you arrange the images sequentially in the order they appear in the video, the first image (of the ruined shack) is at row 2, column 1. Multiplying those coordinates gives you "2" (a half-pie) which is the symbol that appears in the first white box.

The second image in the video is at row 2, column 3. 2 x 3 = 6, but "6" is written as "11" in base-5, so the symbol for "11" (two quarter-pies) belongs in the second white box.

And so on, taking the coordinates for each image in order and multiplying them, placing the value in the white boxes, sequentially.

Or you can just do "you."'s totally awesome end-run around the Flash file.

OK, I am intrigued - I gave my email and will wait to see what transpires. @Leyton Stone - I am blaming you if I get hooked because you keep re-tweeting.

edit: moving up in the world, that was my 100th post at UF!!

That was fun, even if I had to resort to hints Razz

Couple of pointers for those still at "Verify" concerning mildly frustrating bugs I encountered (and others may)

- The puzzle boxes should turn what you press on your keyboard into a pie-shape for you. No copy-paste needed.

- If it doesn't, try refreshing the page and trying again. Pressing "heligu" can cause it to freeze up.
