The life beads look set to be in your house alone - you've got one, found the second by the journal, so it makes sense for the third to be close-by. It looks to be your task to head over to the grave-yard soon...

well, not me has the second life bead, but Uberg33k has one too

Ah, I see... But going to the graveyard does indeed look to be the way forward when you leave the house. But based on the warnings of the dangerous ghosts, you may be in trouble when you do go there...

I'm in! Who left? Anyways, here's the text I got:

Quote:
A house has opened, and you are next in line! You are in a musty room, standing on concrete. In front of you is a heavy door. To your left is an old, dusty chair. To your right is a kitchen table large enough for four, with no chairs. On the right wall are a sink and one cabinet. On the back wall are a gas oven and two faded spots where pictures used to hang. On the left wall are a twin-sized bed, a nightstand with a burnt-out candle, and a wooden dresser.
You notice that some numbers are carved into the heavy door.

Decoded from Binary:
Welcome to Transition Village! This is the abandoned Groundskeeper's House. You have a purpose here; try to figure out what it is. There are ghosts, so stay on guard. If you see other travelers along the way, be sure to say hello! Any changes you make to the town are permanent until someone else changes them, so please be considerate... and careful.

Here's the turn I took:

Quote:
I inspect the cabinet on the right wall...

I'll post my response when I get it.

I get the feeling there is one life bead per ghost.

You pick up the life bead. It is bright white and as small as your palm. When you touch it, it hums and buzzes slightly. You place it in your pocket.

You hear the journal start to hum. You open it and it sings to you.

Respect for the things in the town

And the others you meet all around

Is the virtue you'll most

See rewarded by ghosts

Even those who will want what you've found

You close the journal and place it back in your pocket.

my singing journal <3

Wow, that's cool...

So I just heard back, here's the results from searching the cabinet...

Quote:
You open the cabinet and swirls of dust fill the air in front of you. On the inside of the cabinet door is a picture that someone has scratched into the wood.

The picture shows a man with a shovel digging in the shadow of a large building. You aren't sure what to make of it.

Inside the cabinet is a life bead.

Well, at least I got some life bread like everyone else. Wonder what's up with that picture carved in the cabinet? I think I might inspect it on my turn tomorrow.

Thoughts?

I'm in!

Alright so I'm in, apparently you don't need to actually leave the game, just leave the house for others to start playing Smile

Here is my email:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
A house has opened, and you are next in line! You are in a brown room, standing on a thin rug. In front of you is a wooden door. To your left is an old rocking chair. To your right is a kitchen table large enough for two, with two small chairs at either end. On the right wall are a sink and one cabinet. On the back wall are a gas oven and a horseshoe hanging on a hook. On the left wall are a twin-sized bed, a nightstand with a burnt-out candle, and a wooden dresser.
You notice that the wooden door is covered in numbers.

Welcome to Transition Village! This is the abandoned Farmer's House. You have a purpose here; try to figure out what it is. There are ghosts, so stay on guard. If you see other travelers along the way, be sure to say hello! Any changes you make to the town are permanent until someone else changes them, so please be considerate... and careful.

and my move for Monday, 12/8:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

I walk over to the wooden dresser and look inside

Arriving at the entrance of the church, you notice a potted plant on each side of the door. The note has been hammered into the door, which is locked. The note reads:

THANK YOU LAIR! How did you decode it?

I replied:
Quote:
I decode the message to read "The Church is closed and none may enter. Some supplies have been left beneath the potted plants. God bless you." And check under the Potted plants for the supplies.
