Actually Robbie I own the whip and horse lol. There's three figures (You, Ifi and myself) - A whip and horse (Hesor and my whip) and a well (again assuming the bucket).

Ah, I didn't think about that...I assumed I was the whip because I mentioned it on my Wix site and figured the PM was playing with my whole "famous archeologist" thing...

If that's the case I'm stumped...

Maybe the well is eluding to Uberg33k? His last turn revealed that there is a well right outside of the doctors house. ?

Still waiting on my email for today. However looking over the last page of the thread in Robbie's email today it mentions the well that is west of the church. So if that is the same on Uberg is near, we may be heading that way soon. I assume my email is going to be very similar to Leyton's and Robbie's, so perhaps I'll suggest that we make our way towards the well as I am pretty sure that will get us on our way to opening that scroll.

Oh, and just to clarify, the reason I was asking to look at the picture frame was that in my last email (not posted here, sorry) when Leyton magically came back to life it mentioned that something had appeared in his picture frame. I'll post today's mail when I get it.

Yeah it was Uber's writing Ifi and yes we need to go to the well LOL I've been put in my place by the ghost!

Quote:
You show the traveler with the laser beam eyes your picture frame. For the first time since you died, you look at it yourself. There are three messages scrawled upon it.
-- What is your name and how can I help you?
-- What is your name and how can I help you please?
-- What should I do with this?
You remember that the life bead in your pocket fell out of this frame when you were revived.

You put forth the suggestion that the child's shovel should be placed in the bucket, but the thin ghost narrows his eyes and points at the tube. "Doesn't that drawing look more like the village well?"

And being as I'm really not sure whether I still have a turn or not (considering I missed TWO Turns this past week) I asked Hesor's advice.

Mistakenly though I said it was my 2nd and final time forgetting it was Monday!

I ask Hesor his advice here for the second and final time this week

Monday turn

Out into the village!
Quote:
You open the door and look around at Transition Village. It is a very small town. Dust fills the air, and everything smells stale, as if no one has breathed here in a long time. The sky is bleak. It is a chilly day.
In front of you is a modest church. To your left is another house (the door is probably locked from the inside). Behind your house is a field. To your right is a pathway that leads to a graveyard in the distance, with a large mansion looming behind it. In front of you, beyond the church, are three more homes and a town well.

Standing at the church are three other travelers and what you think is a very thin ghost.

I'm curious to see how the well relates to the scroll so I'll head off and meet you all there. Smile

So I did get a similar email regarding the ghost with the scroll:

Quote:
You apologize profusely for the accident while ignoring the other traveler. That other traveler seems a bit unnerved and turns to leave. As the other traveler is leaving, you ask whether you may look at the picture frame your former victim is holding.

Before you can get an answer, however, a ghost appears. He is a thin, gangly ghost, mostly transparent and sickly pale. He trembles as he addresses the three of you.

"Um, excuse me, but would one of you living travelers be willing to help me? I need someone with an adventurer's nature. The Governor mentioned that we have a traveling archeologist in our village. Would one of you be this traveler? I have a message for you…"

The traveler who was about to leave steps forward. He is the archeologist. The ghost hands him a porcelain tube and shakes his head.

"I have no idea how to open the scroll," he says.

You look over the archeologist's shoulder at the tube. There are images carved into it: three people, a horse, a whip, and a well.

For my turn today I have officially suggested to my fellow travellers that we start towards the well to find a way to open the scroll and hopefully help the ghost. I figure it should take one more turn to get us each there, but after that I would anticipate some sort of group effort to accomplish whatever task may await. To the well!

I am so in love with this game.

Uhhhh Oooohh... My Horsie no like you, Ifi lol

Quote:
Hesor, still standing on your shoulder, flicks his little tail and says, "I do not know this ghost. However, with two other travelers and my whip, we should be able to defeat most of the dangers we see as we go along… provided Mr. Laser Beams can keep himself under control." Hesor glares at Mr. Laser Beams. "Let's try the well," Hesor finally says. "Maybe there is something for us there."

I shall wait til tomorrow to move again.

Oh and

Double Ditto...I'm getting WAY to into this. Don't believe me? See me turn for today:

Quote:
Looking back over my shoulder at the two other travelers staring at the tube, I clear my throat and stick my chest out a little.

"Well, uh, these are clearly pictograms, you know, symbols representing a concept or object using simple illustrations..."

Turning to face the other traveller's more directly, I continue, "The horse and the whip seem to point to you, my uh *cough* reanimated *cough* friend...The well...The well...hmmm..."

Walking in a full circle I rub my chin looking around at nothing in particular as my memory fires down random alleyways of thought...

"If the pictograms are that cut and dry I would bet there's a well in this town somewhere and we've got to get this guy to it," I say, stopping and pointing at the traveller who has recently been revived.

"Whatever is in this scroll, I don't think it's going to open until we find that well and take you there."

Turning to look at the thin ghost who gave me the scroll I say, "Can you take us to the local well, pal?"

Someone cue the theme song!

I haven't had a chance to read the whole thread yet, but I am in a house now. I have made my first move and received my first response.

My first move was to crawl under the bed (I do not know if this has been done yet but I am going to read the thread on the plane). Here is what happened:

Quote:
Squatting down low, you inch yourself along the dirty floor until you are under the bed. It is dark, and the smell of old metal fills your nostrils.

"Hey," a voice whispers from beside you.

You bonk your head on the bed above you and look around. There is a little boy – the ghost of a little boy – hiding there. He fades in and out and is very difficult to see in this darkness. You think he smiles at you as he asks, "Could you help me find my bucket and shovel?"

Our group has your boy's shovel and bucket, meet us at the town well!

TV's response to my turn for today:

Quote:
Showing off your impressive archeological skills, you help the ghost and the travelers understand the message carved on the tube.

While you speak, Mr. Laser Beams tries to introduce himself, but Hesor's name for him is the only thing that will stick in your mind. He seems nice enough, though, and you take his advice when he mentions a well that is on the other side of the church, toward the west end of the village.

The three of you travel with the ghost to the well and wait. On the porch of a nearby house is another traveler who is scrambling to get inside. The door seems to be locked. There are two other ghosts facing him, looking menacing.

The thin ghost turns to you and says, "What now?"

I have a nickname now! How exciting!

Quote:
You introduce yourself to the travelers, whom you quickly realize will only think of you as Mr. Laser Beams from here on out. As they are looking for the town well, you suggest the well on the other side of the church, closer to the west end of the village.

The group agrees, and the three of you move toward the well. On the porch of a nearby house is another traveler who is scrambling to get inside. The door seems to be locked. There are two other ghosts facing him, looking menacing.

The thin ghost turns to the archeologist and asks, "What now?"

So it would seem that the traveller trying to get back into the house would be Uberg. It would seem that we might need to do something about the menacing ghosts before we go to the well. Any ideas on how we should handle this before I send my response?

You could ask our thin, ghostly guide what the problem is with Uberg and the other ghosts...?

Uh I think I'm still far behind... LOL

If these ghosts are menacing ask Hesor to use the whip against them.

On the porch of the house closest to you, there is a traveler who seems to be in danger. Directly in front of you, beyond the church, is a trail that leads to a graveyard. On the other side of the graveyard is a large mansion.

Because you are a day behind, you may make one more move.
