TV's reply to my turn yesterday:

Quote:
You pull your hat out of the puddle and put it back on your head, looking around at everything. The traveler with you stands up and introduces herself after she checks on her tiny dog. "So ummmmmm that was fun," she says with a laugh."I'm Lisa Anne, and this is OJ. And this... this is the well we are stuck in." She takes a glance around as you eye the fishing pole.
"So that scroll you have there," she says. "Looks like it might fit right inside that box right there. Must be pretty important if you were willing to stand up to that guy up there, though." You reach for the fishing pole and pick it up, not listening, not thinking about the scroll at all.
You inspect it and ask, "What's this doing here?"
It seems the other traveler has the same thing on her mind. "Hey, OJ, you like fish?"
Just then, a spirit appears beside you. It is transparent, and its image is almost vibrating, making it very difficult for you to see exactly what it looks like. But there are a few things you can discern: it is a man, he is wearing a flannel shirt, and he has a southern accent when he speaks.
"Hey, there! Isn't that my fishing pole?" The ghost zooms in closer and eyes you up and down. Then he flies back to the middle of the room and continues to speak. "I don't believe we've met. I am stuck here in this town! Can you help save me? I'd sure appreciate it. Just combine that fishing pole of mine with what you find in the scroll, if you don't mind. Only, please hurry. There is very little time left!"
He looks very earnest as he fades away, leaving you alone at the bottom of the well with the other traveler and the ghost of OJ the dog.

My turn for today:

Quote:
"That was creepy," I mumble to myself...

Setting the fishing pole down momentarily, I lean towards the box with the scroll-sized hole as I pull the scroll from my pocket. Nervously wiping at my forehead I lean forward and gently push the scroll into the box at the bottom of the well.

You speak the word "Rebirth" with the pass in your hand, and suddenly a ghost appears. He is tall, gangly, and old. Dressed as he is, you take him right away for a mortician. He keeps his hands clasped in front of his body and speaks only four words: "The graveyard is open."
Then he disappears.
Just then, you feel yourself being sucked away, and the world around you turns to white mist. After a few seconds, you land on the ground, and the mist begins to fade. You are at the graveyard. There are several other travelers standing nearby, along with another ghost. The gate to the graveyard is open.
Overhead, brilliant fireworks light up the sky. Everyone in the village turns to look upward. The fireworks spark and zoom about in all different colors, whistling and popping as they go. Finally, the blasts begin to form numbers above Transition Village. You squint to see properly.

You exit your house and turn toward the graveyard in the chilly air of Transition Village. There is a rocky trail you must cross first. It looks as though it was once lined with decorative pebbles, perhaps even flowers, but now it is a broken and uninviting path. As you go, you are sure you can feel eyes watching you behind every bush and every tree.

Soon, you approach a rusted, wrought iron fence at the entrance to the graveyard. Several other travelers stand outside the fence, apparently lost in thought. There are two tombstones through the gate, and you walk in.

The gate is locked. There are two other travelers standing there, apparently lost in thought.

One tombstone reads RIP EARL DEROSA, and the other reads RIP JAN SMOULTER.

A voice behind you asks, "With three life beads and some help from the well, you may make a difference. Whom will you revive?"

Well... I've been gone during the holiday season, am back now. Seen 2 emails from T.V:

Quote:
The thin ghost thanks you, and assures you that the rest of Transition Village wishes every single traveler a very merry holiday season.

Out of thin air appear many sugar cookies in the shape of trees. The ghost picks them from where they float in front of you and offers you a bite. Through his own munching, he asks, "Is there any other move you would like to make today? I believe your archeologist friend said something about the scroll being a pictogram. If he's right, then I believe you and Hesor will need to be involved in the opening of the scroll. What do you think?"

And:

Quote:
Update: You have been pushed down the well by another traveler! You landed on top of two travelers – one is the archeologist, and he seems to be fiddling with a box and the scroll.

A voice from somewhere in the darkness says, "Have the horse crack his whip to open the scroll."

So... Thanks to whoever pushed me down the damn well Sad lol.

Quote:
I turn to Hesor and ask him to crack his whip.

Allowing me to enjoy the festive period wasn't an option for you?? lol...

I'm jp D.D no biggie!

Quote:
"Oomph," one of the travelers grunts as you land on her. "Ummmm hi!" She dusts herself off and then begins to mumble. "Not much time. Scroll in box then with rod. Shovel and bucket. Need to find treats..." She stops and looks back at the scroll. "Ok, we have work to do."

You ask Hesor to crack his whip, and he whinnies excitedly. In a moment, the horse is standing on his tiny hind legs, holding his whip in his mouth. He rears back even more, and then – CRACK! The box turns, and the scroll pops open.

Two ghosts emerge: a man and a woman.

"Quick," the man with the flannel shirt says, "grab my fishing pole and get to the graveyard! I'll meet you there!" He disappears.

"Take this," the woman says. She places a reporter's notebook on the ground. "This was mine. See you at the graveyard! Please bring your life beads, everyone." With that, she vanishes.

Suddenly, you feel a strange sensation all around you. The air is growing thick white with mist, and you are lifted off the ground. A few seconds later, you land, and the mist begins to clear. You are in the graveyard surrounded by several people and other ghosts.

There are a fishing pole and a reporter's notebook on the ground.

A voice behind you asks, "With three life beads and some help from the well, you may make a difference. Whom will you revive?"

Another traveler, who was at the graveyard before you, turns to the ghost of a young boy who has accompanied him here, and asks his advice. The boy scrunches up his nose and then says, "I don't really know these people very well. They're… outsiders. From your world. One's a fun-loving guy who was wronged by his friend, I think, and the other is a reporter. Maybe some of your friends have heard of them?

Okay these are characters from MOTP right? I kinda edged out of that ARG halfway through so wasn't quite sure who was who.

Okay so... Here's an updated email from T.V:

Quote:
UPDATE: One traveler turns toward the tombstone that reads RIP EARL DEROSA and says, "I choose to save Earl DeRosa."

The man with the flannel shirt slaps his knee. "All right! Where's my fishing pole?" He runs to the ground and picks it up, handing it to the traveler who chose to save him. "Now, just take this pole over to my grave and drop three life beads onto it, and that should do the trick!"

Earl runs to his own grave and stands over it, an enormous grin on his face.

The traveler walks to the grave and drops the fishing pole to the mound of dirt. Then he looks in his pocket. He drops one life bead, then another.

Only two.

Earl looks at the traveler. "Come on," he says. "Please tell me you have three life beads."

The traveler shakes his head.

Earl frowns. "We don't have a lot of time." He looks around the graveyard at you and the other people standing there. "Doesn't anyone here have another life bead?"

The Binary translates to:

Quote:
Please be aware that this is your last move. You may want to coordinate with friends. Also, there will be a mission's end party very soon. To see yourself in Transition Village, please send a picture (or drawing) of yourself that you are willing to share by this weekend, and a brief description of how you would like to conduct yourself at this event (silly, quiet, loud, energetic, etc). Note: very important information to come, so please stay tuned.

Okay guys I'm going to offer up my lifebead which I got right back at the church when G33k drew it on the notepad and it fell out of my picture frame is everyone okay w/ that?

Okay I'm about to go on with using the third lifebead... So here goes.

Quote:
I immediately run up to Earl Derosa's ghost and the other traveler, fishing deep in my pocket, almost falling over through not paying attention. I come to a skidding holt, pulling a life bead out of my pocket and grinning from ear to ear.

"Here! Look!" I shout "When I was accidentally killed by Mr. Laser Beams a while back outside the church, another traveler must have written on the notepad which was showing up inside my picture frame! This fell out of it, just after someone laughed at me and brought me back to life!"

I finally stop talking and gasp for air, as I hand the third life bead to the traveler standing next to Earl Derosa.

Thank you for giving me the third life bead.

Hey everybody, Happy New Year!

Sorry I have been unavailable to help with the end of our journey but the holidays were really busy for me this year. I sent an email to the Governor requesting to use a life bead that I found outside of the graveyard. So it looks like we have that third bead covered.

This has been an awesome time, and I look forward to whatever game Funnel Productions gives us next. Hopefully I will see all of you in that game as well. See you all at the village party!

Agreed.

Here's my final turn... Crying or Very sad

Looking around I see my fellow travelers seemingly lost in their own thoughts. With no life beads to contribute I realize I'm playing the role of a specator and as such do my best to make note of everything going on.

Looking to the ghost of the boy who has been my guide I say, "You know kid, I promised your governor I was only here to investigate and report on what I found. This may be the last time I get a chance to say this, so if you see him, let him know I kept my word. Tell him to go to the following link to see for himself, and thanks for all your help..."

Turning away from the ghost, I look on at the scene unfolding before me and wait to see if Earl will be recalled to life...

Just got this email

Quote:
As the crowd waits nervously, Earl's ghostly face turns a bit more pale. "Anyone? Just one more life bead?"

One traveler turns to the ghost of the small boy and hands him his bucket and shovel. The boy bursts into joyful laughter and moves to run around, but his mother stops him. "No, honey. This is a serious moment."

"But, mom," he whines.

She shakes her head, and the boy stands still.

The archeologist turns to him and says, "You know, kid, I promised your Governor I was only here to investigate and report on what I found. This may be the last time I get a chance to say this, so if you see him, let him know I kept my word. Tell him to go to the following link to see for himself, and thanks for all your help..."

Everyone waits.

Suddenly, another traveler rushes forward to Earl's ghost and shouts, "Here! Look!" He reaches deep into his pocket and fishes something out, grinning from ear to ear. Earl looks into the traveler's hand.

"When I was accidentally killed by Mr. Laser Beams a while back outside the church," the traveler says, "another traveler must have written on the notepad which was showing up inside my picture frame! This fell out of it, just after someone laughed at me and brought me back to life!"

He finally stops to take a breath and hands over the final life bead.

Mr. Laser Beams and another traveler step forward as well, each offering another life bead. There are now two extra beads.

"ALRIGHT!" Earl shouts, slapping his side again. He snatches the life bead from the traveler's hand and tosses it into the grave. "See you guys on the other side!" With that, Earl, vanishes into a swirling white mist. You hear a distant, "Woohoo!" before he is completely gone.

In a far corner of the graveyard, the ghost of Jan Smoulter hangs her head just slightly. No one has saved her, and there are not enough life beads.

Just then, the massive door of the mansion on the other side of the graveyard creaks open.

I am standing there – a living man, and not a traveler. I wear a black suit and a top hat, and I am both round and regal. I walk into the silent crowd.

"You saved Earl," I say with a glance around. "Well done. I ought to introduce myself, I suppose, although we have communicated many times. I am The Governor."

Everyone stares.

With another look around, I see the many faces of travelers who brought Transition Village to life, and I am touched. "Peacemaker," I say, "that was a fantastic cake. You'll have to bring it to the party on Wednesday."

I turn to Mr. Laser Beams, who is wearing his special armor with pride, and I grin. "Nice shooting work in the field, my friend."

Then little OJ barks, and Hesor whinnies. I turn to their travelers. "Thank you for taking such good care of our animals. I know they will never forget you."

The archeologist across the way catches my eye, and I laugh out loud. "Incredible," I say. "I found your wonderful work online the day it was published. The ghosts in Transition Village don't understand much about the Internet, but I have explained to them what a great honor it was to be discovered by a scientist of your caliber. We owe you our thanks."

Around the graveyard I see several dedicated travelers who have all done amazing deeds. "The ghosts of Transition Village are thankful for everyone's presence here," I tell them. "But especially," I say, "Jan? I think you will be happier when you talk to this little boy." I put an arm around the ghost of Jan Smoulter and lead her to the boy with his bucket and shovel. Jan looks confused.

"With the return of his bucket and shovel, this ghost can save your life – at least, partially. You will have to work for me, but you will be alive again. It's nothing too hard. Is that acceptable?"

Jan's eyes grow bright, and she wrings her hands. "Of course," she whispers, a look of hope and excitement on her transparent face.

I nod. "Go ahead," I tell the child.

The little boy looks triumphant as he wiggles out of his mom's arms and brings the bucket and shovel to Jan. "Put them together," he tells her in a thrilled whisper. "You'll see. They're special."

Jan's fingers tremble as she takes the toys from the child and slowly places the shovel inside the bucket.

For a moment nothing happens, and Jan's face falls. But then, all at once, a swirling mist surrounds her, and she vanishes.

"There we go," I say, clapping my hands. "Well done, everyone. Jan will be working out of my mansion from now on. You will probably be hearing from her soon."

With nothing left to do, I see the travelers looking around aimlessly. "It's true that Transition Village will be unavailable for a short while, but there will be plenty of fun for you until then. After all," I say, "Transition Village is only a transition."

The air turns cold for just a moment, and a wind of anticipation blows across the travelers' skin.

"I expect to see you all at the party this Wednesday, though," I say. Remember to send me a photograph or drawing of yourself that you are willing to share, as well as a description of how you will behave at the gathering. I will be in touch. Goodbye."

With a slight bow, I go back into my mansion and close the door.

Was JUST about to post that, D.D lol.

Guess that's the end of the 'game' for now then. I already sent my photo and description in. - I'm wondering what happens Wednesday then?
