 		thanks I thought it might be if 1=A 35=I (35-26=9=I) and use it as a rot-x key but it didn't work.

Nothing in there that helps really.

I've tried Vigenere with variations of the post title and Detective, no luck.

 		The title has to be a clue...He didn't post it at 1:35 so there is something deeper there. W=1, E=3, D=5? Anyone? Anyone? Buehller?

Um, it's a cipher. a subsistution cipher maybe?
