Did people actually talk to Russo after the Godseed attack? Or did someone else (Lewis/Joey) verify that he was OK?

If so, perhaps he really was thrown to the GsF. Sad

Who did you address it to? the MTC?

Yes, it does appear to be a real post office box. I addressed it to the Milwaukee Tourism Commission, as it was given on the TIMM website. Perhaps one of the PMs registered it under their own name, and mail addressed to the MTC wouldn't be accepted?

The return label does also state "Unable To Forward"... so the box could be set up to forward mail (like, if they filed a 'change of address' form). Whatever the case, do not 'use as directed'.

If the address is valid - it won't return it, regardless of whom it's addressed to. Unless of course that person/company has put a "No forwarding" order for their mail, then it would be sent back undeliverable. But for example, you could send a letter to your grandmother and address it to The White Tower - and it would still be delivered.

That being said, I'm more inclined to think that the address isn't valid..

Was it this kind of stamp?

Unable To Forward means it was a valid address, but is not any longer - they moved, but didn't set up a forwarding (or the forwarding address is invalid and the mail handler knew he'd just get it back).

Or, the mail handler could be marking it that when it's something else. There are a bunch of mail statuses, and some offices aren't clear enough to their employees on which mean what.

While I don't think this'll end up being a big problem, if anyone has any other mail questions, I know a postmaster that's just a phone call away, and I can dig up my handbooks. As it is, my recollections on UTFs might be a little foggier than I'm aware.

I just talked to Joey!! He says Mike Russo is fine, and that Mike embellishes on the truth sometimes (about the Godseed attack). Joey also said that Mike is defiently back at work and you should call him.

This game seems to be back!!!! Smile

EDIT: just talked to Joey again. He doesn't know why Mike Russo's phone is still disconnected.

ok, silly question, but has anyone asked what their m-rotors are? maybe the cities we live in have a different classification for that type of machinery... or at least that's the reason that can be given for asking?

That's true for residential addresses, but not for PO boxes. I found that out the hard way last year when I moved.

Joe

I spoke with Joe/Joey last night. I had left a message earlier in the day and sent a couple emails, to no avail. But this being my first ARG, and just learning about TIMM yesterday, I was way behind the curve (even though I did my reading here and on WikiBruce) and did NOT expect to get a live person on the phone.

Anyway, I was straight up about just finding the site yesterday and being very interested in what Milwaukee has to offer. I asked if there was any literature I could get, and he deflected the question and said there was plenty on the MTC site. I said the obvious, that I only know of the video on TIMM, and he said to look around, people are talking (presumably, he was saying get on these forums).

So I joked around a little, asked what was going on in the area, and he said big things were happening Saturday, an obvious reference to the drop/meetup. I asked if he would be there, and he said no, I'll be working, but there will be a LOT of people around.

Then he says, "Hey, I'm really busy, I've got Blackstar breathing down my neck, just check things out on Saturday, it's going to be a lot of fun." I responded that I hoped he got out of work early enough to head out and see all that went down.

I doubt it means anything, but I was curious about the Blackstar breathing down his neck comment . . . .

Actually useful: On the Young Professionals Facebook:

Attention Young Professionals -- there has been a lot of scuttlebutt going around recently about the completely unwarranted rebel attacks on Blackstar buildings throughout the city.

I want to set a few things straight: under NO CIRCUMSTANCES are you to cavort with rebels.

We have armed response teams, led by Worker, on the look-out for sympathizers throughout the city, and are negotiating with the Milwaukee government in an effort to get new laws and regulations passed that will help protect you and keep this city strong.

If you see rebel agents, avoid contact. They may be people you know or recognize, or even members of extant organizations.

Trust no one.

And have a great day!

Well then I think we need to make contact with some rebels or rebel sympathizers!
