[Update] /fallout new location on Art's site

Here's the latest update from today:
http://www.consultantbunker.com/fallout/tostu.html

http://www.consultantbunker.com/fallout/h.jpg

note that the locations correspond to maps on rileyssignals as well as on Art's site.

I'm just looking at this now. I'll post more later.

Woo Hoo!!! That be me! I'm about 15 minutes from Cahokia Mounds! I forget how many school field trips I made out there back in the day.
Gonna head there Saturday!!!

(Contractors and nursing homes and mother-in-law crap to do.)

Sweet! WolfHawk - PM me if you want my cell or home number. I will be home all day on Saturday and can help you out if you need it.

I wonder what objects Stu would have left behind. It's bound to be unexpected and twisted.

Ah and we have a pirate map to the treasure:

Sorry guys, I keep forgetting to check this forum. DavFlamerock and I exchanged numbers and I sent him notes.

Here are my posts from SO:

Quote:
Heh, we were there and done in about a half hour. Woodhendge is right on the highway. The tree was about 20 yards from the side. Here's the link to the Photobucket album:

http://s48.photobucket.com/albums/f236/Wolf_Hawk/EldritchErrors/

I'll try to do some closer pics later.

The box contained a Devil tarot card, a belt buckle, a silver whistle, a stick that has "MY BIG" carved on it, and a leaky antique St. Joseph's Children's Aspirin bottle with liquid (probably water) and a small pickle in it. Stu's box.

Quote:
I added pics of the contents. They aren't very good since it's my phone camera.

The white-looking stuff on the box was just places where the paint was scratched. There was no splooge anywhere. Although the pickle bottle did leak quite a bit. I'm guessing it was near full when made. You see how much leaked out.

I found the following PM from Eddie Pope as soon as I logged on:

Subject: Interview Request from Eddie Pope of PopeTattles.com

I am Eddie Pope of the PopeTattles, your number one source for information on the Tarot Killer! I've come to learn that you were recently doing some treasure hunting at Cahokia Mounds and would like to ask you a few questions for an upcoming edition of the Tattles.

If you read the Tattles, and why wouldn't you?, you'd know that there's a growing phenomena in geocaching and treasure hunting at Indian Mounds. In fact, it looks like the Tarot Killer is a participant in this very thing, which is what drew my attention to it. What is it that drew your attention?

Many of the "caches" that are left behind at these Indian Mounds seem to be related not only to each other but also to Sentry Outpost. Were you aware of this? Is that why you went? How did you know about the cache? What was contained in the cache? Do you have any pictures that I could use for an upcoming issue?

You and several other members of the Sentry Outpost who have found these collections of items have all been near the killer, probably within minutes at times. I know when I encountered him in Atlanta, it had a profound effect on me (and possibly him). Are any of you worried that you may run into the killer when you go to retrieve these caches?

I've been following Dr. Riley's podcats at RileysSignals.com and confess to not understanding much of it. Have you listened to her? Do you have any theories about the correlation between the sounds, the mounds, the sentries and the Tarot Killer? Any ideas as to why the Tarot Killer is choosing these spots?

Finally, what can you tell me about Arthur Lydney?

Now, investigating a serial killer and tracking him across the country keeps a man busy, so I don't get to check in as often as I'd like. Don't worry though, I'll sure be keeping an eye out for your reply. Email is probably the quickest and easiest way, so hit me back at eddieSPLATpopetattles.com

Yours,
Eddie

What do you all think I should tell him?

Well, he already know about the links between the caches and SO, so it can't hurt to tell him that. I don't know whether he is aware that we are following the clues left by Art (it's not clear to me whether or not Eddie actually reads SO, or if he just blindly posts there when it's convenient).

As far as the connections between the Sounds and the mounds and TK, well your guess is as good as mine! It wouldn't hurt to speculate and see what Eddie does with the info...

Here is what I responded with:
Quote:
Dear Mr. Pope,

Please excuse my lateness in responding to your inquiry. I am understandably reluctant to just jump right in and trust you. You showed up out of nowhere with a great interest in the deaths of some people who were very dear to myself and my fellow Sentries. Personally I find your publication, PopeTattles, very cavalier in it's treatment of and investigation into those deaths.

What I was hunting was no "treasure." It was a very tangible reminder of the murder of an individual whose only involvement with the Sentries was his misfortune to share server space with a program we were investigating.

I am more than aware that several of these caches have been found and that they are related to one another. I recovered this particular cache because it was close to my home. No, I am not afraid of encountering the suspected individual. Indeed, he, she, it, or they should be afraid of encountering ME. My friends have been murdered and anything I can do to advance our knowledge of why or to bring their killer to justice I will do.

I have listened to the podcasts.

Forgive my bluntness Mr. Pope but answers to all of your questions can be found at Sentry Outpost along with any information or speculation of my own. Perhaps if you would take the time to actually read through the forums at SO you would have a greater understanding of and appreciation for the terrible things the Sentries have been investigating and the horrors we have shared.

Sincerely,
WolfHawk

Thank you Rose.

I received an almost immediate reply which looks to be an automated one:
Quote:
Thanks for the missives, intrepid readers! Alas, I am neck deep
in fighting the good fight and can't respond to all my email.
Rest assured, I read them all, even if it means I have to take a
timeout from kicking evil's butt for a few minutes.
