someone needs to ask Mike about dark dollar arrangements

Somebody really ought to ask Mike about robots.

I asked Mike about robots. He seemed encouraging about our work so far, said something about having bearings. I'm cleaning up the file a little bit (poor recording equipment) but it should be up soon!! Lots of info about worker...

Ok so I just got off the phone with Mike Russo. Have been calling him A LOT lately but he never picked up so I REALLY wasn't expecting an answer at this point and when he suddenly DID pick up I kind of freaked out, but I asked him about the booklet and more specifically about the dark dollar arrangements.

Now I'm really really sorry if I'm missing some stuff out right now (should've recorded the damn call) but i'll summarize what I can remember:

I first said that I've been trying to analyze the information we've been given about dark dollars and that I believe them to be so much more than just currency, and he said I was correct in this manner.

He talked briefly about the introduction of dark dollars and that a lesser form of dark dollars were being used during and before the 300 troubles but the dark dollar wasn't really the official form of currency until the first convention being held after most of the world was in ruins as a result of namely the 300 troubles.

He then went on to say that the reason dark dollars were established as the main form of currency was because the only really valuable thing in this day and age is protection, and dark dollars give namely that - protection.

Dark dollars are also made of a certian (and very rare) material in which I couldn't quite catch the name of (damn static) I believe it was bricosythe or something but I've got no idea. He said that rotating or moving on different dark dollars in correlation with eachother created certain amounts and types of energy.

The values of the different kinds of dark dollars and the rotations you on them depends on how often "this kind of dark dollar/rotation has been seen". He also mentioned something about "Whenever a new form of the Go.D.S.E.E.D fragment is discovered (and I believe he mentioned something about a then specific dark dollar combination defeating it) this kind of dark dollar would become very valuable becuase it's new and not many people know/have it).

The dark dollar arrangements in the booklet is appearantly some of the few, more common, dark dollar arrangements that release certain amoutns of energy. New arrangements and types of dark dollars are appearantly being discovered constantly.

And that's all I can remember right now, I might clean it up a bit later, my heart was racing at the end of the conversation, I was shocked enough that I actually got through :S.

I just had a 15 minute call or so with mike, got TONS of stuff. Here's what I learned:

I started by asking about robots, he said there are many "automated machines" in milwaukee, but they weren't "robot" as we may think because they aren't intelligent and they certainly aren't a threat to people.

He then brought up Worker and said that know one knows where he came from, but that Blackstar leased him to the MTC for use in the video. Worker apparently does everything that Blackstar tells him too, and has a very high powerclass.

I brought up the topic of Mars Madison, he said he's only seen her a few times and that he "wouldn't be able to pick her out of a line up." He also said that he only recently saw her immigration file (I think that's what he called it), so I think that must mean she is new to the city. He said that he thinks she is probably not in danger, but that any stress she may have is social or related to some "faux pas". He gave me her e-mail address: mars.madisonSPLATthisismymilwaukee.com and said that everyone in milwaukee had an e-mail address in that format, except for Blackstar people who have their own format.

Mike brought up Chuck Jagoda without me having to mention the name. Some rebel group had tried to attack Jagoda (as the twitter feed says). When I confirmed that the Snake Charmers were the ones to do the attack, Mike mentioned that they must be "small and hurting" to do something so stupid as attacking someone as powerful as Jagoda. I'm not 100% sure, but I think he said there were at least 5 rebel groups.

We started talking about Blackstar, and he said although he is "not a huge fan of Blackstar," they are certainly not evil, but more like "mildly nefarious." He went on to say "well at least if you ignore the whole Go.D.S.E.E.D. thing and how everyone died and the world was nearly destroyed." He used an Italian phrase (I forget which one :/ ), and that reminded him that Italy was wiped out in the 300 Troubles. I asked about the rest of Europe and he said the whole world was destroyed, beside Milwaukee and a few other pockets of society, as far as he knew. Search parties were sent out, but they weren't very effective and he mentioned that someone at Blackstar would know more.

As an aside, he didn't know why Go.D.S.E.E.D. was created, but said that it was probably "hubris." He repeated the word "hubris" quite a few times, so it's probably significant in some way.

I asked him what he used to do at Blackstar. At first he just said he did "paper shuffling," but when I pushed him a bit he said that he was in the communications department, what he called a "media/power combination." He said that specifically he worked at the Blackstar Utilities division.

I asked him about M-Rotors, and he didn't really offer much info about what they really are. His exact sentence was "They are a promise and threat shared by everyone." He said that although they were under the control of the city, Blackstar has better scientific knowledge of them.

The first thing that comes to my mind is the e-mail info. We should try e-mailing Mars Madison, Lipps Leroux. Chuck Jagoda may also have an e-mail in that same format: chuck.jagodaSPLATthisismymilwaukee.com

I think we also need to keep looking for info about the rebels and the m-rotors.

Ok when Mike says in my call he's "got some bearing" in his life, do you think that refers to an M-rotor? Since generators/motors have rotors they would have bearings....but maybe he means a compass? Like in the book? Perhaps look at that page? We have been trying overing the fax the pages with no luck (not without force)...it might not even mean anything but his word choice felt specific to me...
