Guys, the fax is 1-bit black and white converted to a PNG. Don't bother trying to find secret hidden messages in it.

Hey guys, I just got off the phone with Joey.

He confirmed that the office is buzzing with talk about the faxes that went out, but that he was in the dark himself about what they meant. He also confirmed that the faxes came from the Milwaukee Tourist Commission.

He was a bit evasive, or I wasn't quite direct enough about asking if the faxes had anything to do with the A Reasonable Haven. Anyone have any questions pertaining to this that I should ask? I told him I might call back, and he said that was fine.

Thats weird. Chuck has been on Facebook for the last couple hours or so as well. I wonder if he is really out of game. I got him to talk to me on Facebook to confirm this.

Here's the log:

Tony
Charles?
Today
12:12amTony
Are you there?
12:17amCharles
Hey Tony. I'm here.
12:17amTony
Hey!
12:17amCharles
How are you?
12:17amTony
I'm great, how about you?
12:18amCharles
Fine. Where are you?
12:18amTony
Ohio for the moment, you?
12:18amCharles
New Jersey
12:19amTony
How are things there?
12:19amCharles
Fine. Warm. Rainy.
12:19amTony
Question --
I know you've been questioned a lot about Milwaukee, I was just curious if you were, indeed, involved with the MTC or if you just were an actor for their lovely video?
(noticed you joined a Milwaukee group on facebook as well)
12:21amCharles
Yes, I'm an actor and now a member of the Milwaukee group.
12:22amTony
Do you know anything about items mentioned in the video?
12:23amCharles
Not much. And I'm not supposed to give any real info out. I'm supposed to refer questions to the infoSPLATsynadyne.com site.
12:24amTony
I see... how come your character didn't get a unique name?
12:24amCharles
Hmmm. No idea. That's a perfect question for the Website.
12:25amTony
Heh.
Darn.
12:25amCharles
Sorry.
12:25amTony
I was hoping to ask you a few questions about a recently leaked fax.
12:26amCharles
Hmm. I haven't even heard of it.
You can ask. I just may not be able to tell you anything.
12:26amTony
I see.
Well, I received a fax today from a Kinkos in NY,NY... near where you were eating your canoli at.

12:27am
Charles and Zachary Cieslinski are now friends.
12:27amTony
It had some various familiar symbols and then an X in the middle. No straight-forward information.
12:28amCharles
I can only assume it's another of the producers' clever ploys to get/keep people interested. What do you think you'are supposed to or can do with it?
12:29amTony
Not sure... it has the same shapes that are found on Dark Dollars.
From the booklet.
12:29amCharles
There's a booklet? You know/have more info than I do.
12:30amTony
So do you know anything about the Jagoda Art Gallery?
12:31amCharles
Just that it's named after my family name.
12:31amTony
Indeed it is. You don't run it?
12:33amTony
Also, do you run a twitter account?
http://twitter.com/ChuckDideEate/
that one?
Surely you know what I'm referring to?
12:38amCharles
I don't run it. And I don't know the twitter account. I have heard of the game ChuckDideEate.
12:38amTony
Game?
12:39amCharles
I thought it was a game. It's not?
12:39amTony
ChuckDideEate is a game?
12:41amCharles
Well, I got that impression from a question I was asked that it was a game. But maybe I got that wrong.
12:41amTony
ChuckDideEate or all of this Milwaukee stuff in general?
12:42amCharles
As I understand it there are puzzles that are associated with the video and that have caused people to ask questions as you have done.
12:44amTony
Indeed.
Sorry, I thought you meant that ChuckDideEat was a game. Haha
So, I'm very curious about how one gets placed in a video like this.
Did you know the producers?
12:45amCharles
Well, we found each other through craigslist.
12:46amTony
Ah, make some big bucks from it?
Haha, sorry for being forward.
12:47amCharles
It's okay. No, no bucks. Maybe in the future, though.
12:48amTony
Cool.. How long ago was this?
The filming, I guess.
12:48amCharles
Several months. The summer.
12:49amTony
Wow, several months and no pay? get anything cool from it?
or lots of facebook badgering?

12:59amTony
Did the fragments get you?
1:06amCharles
What fragments?
It was a few months ago but I only worked one afternoon.
1:07amTony
Ah.. were you involved in their Hoopestown documentary?
1:08amCharles
The Facebook friends are fine. I asked and at least some would like to be informed of my comic appearances--like and on the web. So I figure I've got a lot of new fans. Shall I keep you informed of my appearances?
I admire the Hoopsetown doc but it was made before I met the producers.
1:09amTony
Yeah, definitely keep in touch about the performances.
Is the documentary available online anywhere in full that you know of?

Yeah, that dialog pretty much seems to confirm that he is OOG...the PMs must be running the Twitter account as Chuck's IG character.

Okay, so far, in order, here's what Chuck Did Eate:

  • A cannoli
  • Briddes (Birds)
  • A Fine Stew
  • A ham sandwich
  • A tacolaza salad
  • Old-fashioned steak
  • Potato soup
  • "Simple meal at home"
  • Can of peaches
  • Grape gum
  • A spicy pork gordoopa (taco variation)

Any pattern? I still don't see one...

Facebook Chuck is pretty obviously out of game. So far he's been very polite and friendly to everyone, but it's extremely important that nobody goes too far and gets to be an annoyance. He's helped out the PMs immensely by appearing in the video and letting his likeness be used (apparently for free) and we should respect that rather than trying to poke him for clues he clearly doesn't have.

Ok, to contribute: in-game Chuck is apparently a very powerful character, given that he has the ear of at least two mayors and we've seen him vanquish a dark figure, presumably a Godseed fragment with a single energy blast (or something) and eat right afterwards. We've seen that the TIMM world operates on vaguely RPG-ish rules, perhaps all the stuff Chuck eat(e)s are power-up items of various types, especially since he apparently eats right after a "battle". Reminds me a bit of Earthbound, an RPG which also has real-life modern food as powerups, including hamburgers.

Not really aside from the fact that they eat mostly meats and carbs. It seems fruits and vegetables are hard to come by. Oh and just for fun, Briddes is Middle English for bird song.

That's a good point.
He hasn't actually eaten any fresh fruits or vegetables.
His peaches came from a can and he ate grape gum.
There's no guarantee that a "tacolaza salad" actually contains veggies.

Starchies, not veggies.

[*] A cannoli (Italian)
[*] Briddes (Birds) (British?)
[*] A Fine Stew (many)
[*] A ham sandwich (European/American)
[*] A tacolaza salad (Mexican-Italian?)
[*] Old-fashioned steak (many)
[*] Potato soup (English/European/many)
[*] "Simple meal at home" (Jagodian?)
[*] Can of peaches (many)
[*] Grape gum (many)
[*] A spicy pork gordoopa (taco variation) (Mexican?)

Oriental food was discussed quite a bit in the original thread as well.

Hence the vegetarian option, heh...
