I dunno! I am not very good at solving puzzles - maybe try checking the wiki to see what's been tried, or see if you can come up with something.

There are usually people hanging out on IRC as well, with a few unidle enough to try brainstorming some stuff. Come on by sometime!

A stretch, surely, but it's not as though I claimed Chuck's banana peel sightings were all references to Nannerpuss ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4kK6F7t-x6E ).

Though to be honest, I think Chuck would be a Nannerpuss fan.

I <3 Relia for the Nannerpuss reference. I haven't been able to get that dang song outta my head for two weeks!

I am not sure what the hell he means but I'll get busy mirroring everything I can in the publications.

I'm looking for a 'broken mirror' - some kind of a symmetry breakdown. Some place where a mirror is broken, or all mirrors are broken because of a 'ladder' in an 'exit'.

One little blip that met my eye is the dinosaurs on p.3 are showing up as E and W in the compass. I don't think that's relevant right now but it's indicative of the kind of detail I'm trying to notice.

Also will look again at the postcard. It's not just a bit of fun...

So you mentioned the compass and the dinosaurs. I thought that they were somewhat oddly placed in the scene. So i mirrored it and overlayed it. You can get different effects by moving it to the left or right. Originally i thought that the handwriting would say something different when mirrored. I cant really notice anything. But maybe someone else will have more luck.

P.S. this is my first attempt at solving somthing for an arg. Very Happy

I gave it a shot. Smile

Hey I just did that too! Very Happy
Psychedelic isn't it? But I can't see anything that jumps out at me either.

Nor does the "Typical Château". True there is a mirror break there - there's more windows on one side tower than the other. But, that's not leading far. Just one window is different.

Fluffing around with that graph just makes moustaches.

OK so we have walking under a ladder at an exit. You're not supposed to walk under that ladder, which means you can't exit. Chuck does exit. All his mirrors are broken. He is beginning to see a trend. What trend is chuck seeing? Maybe if you break one bad luck taboo it triggers off other bad luck taboos? Some kind of amplification?

His misfortunes are many and varied. I'm yet to see how they have a theme apart from that they are bad luck. Everybody is having a variety of it. I can't decide if the specific taboos being broken are symbols - e.g. a mirror means 'mirror'. In that case why a hat full of peanut butter?

The treasure hunter has no work. That means that the concrete sarcophagus must be intact. Is that good thing or a bad thing?
Good: ole' Beasty is asleep.
Bad: no way to get jewels. And while ole' Beasty is asleep, things remain quiet. Are we supposed to crack open the concrete?

The postcard, the language is twisted, some kind of mechanism there... I'm going to try ladders and mirrors all over it.

Does anyone think these tweets are just to remind us that Chuck is alive? More of a "stayed tuned, we'll be back" thing than actual information?

I guess because if they are actual information, it is so well hidden that it is beyond obscure to my literal mind.... Smile

Oh and welcome guest to unfiction! I think your idea might be good, but I don't understand it. I have solved maybe three or four puzzles in my entire career as a player, so, like krystyn, I'm not too helpful with this stuff.

And good job Pie-ro with the mirroring. The Jesus looking guys with the dinosaurs is always good for a laugh. Smile

If only we had a locational analog in NYC for the Jagoda Museum, we could maybe find Treasure Hunter and see what he's up to.

You know, that's a realy good idea. If T.H. is working at the Museum, we should visit him! We do have the Art Musuem here in Milwaukee, but it would probably be in New York.. isn't there a museum around Central Park?
[checks google maps]
Yep. Anyone feel like checking the coat room at the Metropolitan Museum of Art? It's kind of a long shot, but if anyone's bored this week...

check for what? There are two coat rooms at the MMA. I don't think they will just randomly hold packages for people.

Of course there are plenty of other museums near the park. I guess you thought of MMA simply because we had other stuff happening in Central Park?

I'm not saying I wouldn't try it, but I would like to have some idea what to do.

Also, I'm thinking that these tweets don't mean anything other than "please don't give up totally on TIMM", but I go to the MMA all the time so I wouldn't mind checking if I had any idea what to do. Smile

No clue, and yes (I'm unfamiliar with NYC). I agree that it probably was a throw-away Tweet as far as requiring any action on our part, but so far the CDF hasn't been doing much beyond making a mess of Chuck's daily life. I just want some real activity Smile

huh?

You know a game is slow when guests post to complain about other guest posts. Rolling Eyes

Or maybe it is just a joke I don't get. I don't always get jokes.

Personally, I have one unbreakable role of the forums: always trust the admins, esp. krystyn.

Sometimes, I say things are "unrelated to the topic at-hand, like whoah" or I'll make a joke about hentai or I'll talk about Anonymous and yet, I have never ever posted a thing to 4chan.

OMGWTFBBQ, y'all.

I agree. Especially the Tweet that said "He was working in the coat room. Times are tough when even Treasure Hunters are taking menial jobs." Maybe there was some scaling-back, or the PMs/employees got busy with working.

(I know the feeling!)
