Yes, I definitely think this has to do with the Dark Dollar Arrangements.

After looking at the graphic though, one thing still puzzles me:

Why did they need to show the hands in that drawing? They're all in kind of weird positions, and they certainly aren't needed to show the movements of the cards. Perhaps they are as much a part of the solution as the actual D$ themselves?

you get some interesting bar code-y shapes when you change the levels. Click on the thumbnails to see what I mean:

Edit: imageshack is slow. They might not load properly Neutral

dark dollars

I agree. This screams dark dollars to me, too.

If you rotate the fax clockwise 90 degrees, the circle is in the upper left quadrant and the x is in the right location to signal, in combination with the circle, "new feeling."

Of course, there's no "black star" symbol on the inside front cover of the M:ARH book. Which is interesting....

I think that might just be an artifact from the fax.

Every fax I get has those kind of weird marks. I think if they wanted to send clues that were that tiny, they'd be hard to preserve with most commerical fax machines (and surely with the machines at a Kinkos).

Can we assume this was sent out by Blackstar, then? Or someone working for Blackstar?

Dark Dollars are issued by them, I think, and we have the four known DD symbols + a black star - makes sense that this would be related closely to them. And we don't know who owns that phone number that asked for faxes.

Ok... I just though it was interesting Smile

Can someone who has the fax take a picture of it so we can compare what this shape in the middle looks like to the scanned version?

The X looks like a thumbprint to me...I'm comparing the fax to the Dark Dollar arrangements and nothing is jumping out at me...yet...

I was about to agree with you about the lack of stars being a problem until I realized that the first page of the booklet does indeed have stars on it. It's also coincidental that this page is the page right beside the Dark Dollar arrangements...Shocked

Interesting! Good eye. I don't know how to fit them into an arrangement, though. (Or if we are even supposed to?)

An interesting note: when the fax is rotated as stated above, the star symbol is right side up. This arrangement does fit the layout of the symbols on the first two pages of the M:ARH book.

One step ahead of you...

Don't know what to make of it though, maybe it's nothing, or maybe I did it wrong...

Thoughts peeps?

star stickers on subway

Klink wrote:
Hi, first time poster, first arg, etc. etc.
I was in the city today and saw this sticker on 2 different trains on the F line. Think it's in-game?
Edit: By city I mean NYC, not Milwaukee.

This is a quote from Klink on page 80 of the main thread. It includes a photo of the star sticker in the subway.

I am too new to this forum thing to know how to link that image with this new thread, but it seemed to me that the photo of the sticker showed an interesting texture on the background of the star sticker.

Assuming this sticker is related, and I know that's a big assumption, do you think it could be similar to the texture beneath the X on the fax?

perhaps it's just a placemat of some sort, like tarot cards? Like... some sort of template to use when arranging your dark dollars?

I'd hate to think it's that, because then it's just another thing we can't do anything with. Yet.

I like the idea of overlaying it in the hand book. My first thought when i saw the fax was overlaying it on the map in the promo video... dont know where that can go though.
