[NEWS] SF Deaddrop Found

Hi all. Sorry if I messed up this puzzle/game, but I found this at the restaurant that apparently you all were using? (Gratitude Cafe, was there with my sister on Monday. Was looking under the table for a dropped earring and saw a taped white envelope on the underside, and this was inside it.)

Anyway, I asked the staff if they knew what this was, and they had no idea, so I decided to ask around, and a friend (of a friend) was able to point me here. Hope this helps you, if you'd like a scan of it I can post one later, but this is the best I'm able to do for now (cell phone picture, not great quality)

Sorry again,

Trent

thanks, that's very gracious of you, and impressive I might add Smile that you'd find your way here with that piece of paper! Cool

also, actually, was there anything written or noticable on the envelope? or was it plain white through and through?

Hi Brunobruno (Trent) and thank you!

I went there on Monday between 2:00-3:30 pm specifically looking for this (well not THIS, but something that would have turned out to be this) and I cannot believe I would have missed it.

Please, could you tell me what time you were at the cafe on Monday?

Trent.

Many, many thanks on everyone's behalf. Was it ripped at the edges like that when you found it?

By all means, post a scan later on, if you're able. You've done us a great service. And now, we don't have to go hunting down babies.

Very Happy

My first thought is that this is either a troll or a weak attempt by the PMs to make up for a failed drop.

It does look pretty in-game, though...

Also, the embedded timestamp in the image is 13:13 today. That time hasn't occurred yet on the West Coast. It was taken by a cell phone, and cell phones adjust their times to the local timezone. So this picture was definitely taken on the East Coast.

Not if he took the picture yesterday in the cafe. The background looks like it could be the tabletop of the tables there. Of course, the clock would have to be one DAY off. Hmmmm.

If you are right, though--it would be so uncool for the PMs to reveal the puzzle like this--let alone against uF rules.

The whole timestamp says "12.16.2008 13:13", so it wasn't taken yesterday.

Hello,

I sent this to my friends on our daily email thread, and one of them said it could be for this weird Milwaukee videogame, and sent me a link to this page.

The envelope was taped under the table and had a picture of a weird heart on it, I will also scan it when I get home tonight, I didn't think that would be important. The paper I posted the picture of is exactly how I found it. I was at Gratitude in the morning, in the greenhouse.

What is this for, is it like a prank or something? Does the drawing on the paper mean something?

Land Tuna: I just took this picture a few minutes ago, and I live in San Francisco.

I don't really know if there's anything else that would be helpful.

Thanks,
Trent

maybe his camera time is screwed up? seems like we are being too quick to assume this is a disguised PM...

at any rate, thanks trent Razz
