I was thinking about the red/blue connection again and realized in The Matrix the red pill shows you the truth of reality and the blue pill lets you continue to live the lie blissfully ignorant. I don't know that it means much but I just really feel that all the red/blue references aren't just a coincidence.

Also, in Portal the portalgun creates portals that are blue-fringed on one side and orange-fringed on the other -- not quite red, but possibly relevant? Or maybe just something to do with electromagnetic spectrum redshift/blueshift?

Funny thing is, I didn't really know much about Half-Life nor Portal until yesterday when I started looking up the lyrics to GLaDOS's "Still Alive". I'm not really a gamer at all (tho' many/most of my friends are), never found RPGs nor most any other games very appealing personally, not even chess for that matter (tho' most ppl seem to expect I'm a chess kinda guy for some reason), so I don't really have any personal interest invested in "wanting" a sequel/spinoff of those games to come out. The parallels just jumped out at me during my initial survey of the subject matter on that blog and Wikipedia:

Everyone, stop what you are doing and buy this game RIGHT NOW! Razz

http://store.steampowered.com/holidaysale

its available for a mere $5 till January 2nd, and it really only takes about 4-5 hours of your time to complete... This is one of the most moving/mind-bending games i have ever played and I feel that, whether or not you are a "gamer" everyone should experience this digital masterpiece.

I second that. I'm not the type of guy who will get extremely involved in an MMORPG like WOW, so Portal was perfect for me. The story is quick. It seems like you have it all figured out, then everything changes. And there were plenty of moments that made me laugh out loud.

Try this:

http://store.steampowered.com/app/400/

(Or if this doesn't work, go to http://store.steampowered.com/ and search for "Portal".)

Keep refreshing the page. You'll see it at least after a few if it doesn't show right away.

I really do like the speculation and theories: but where do we go from here? I feel so helpless. I've tried other messages to the facebookers, emailed HR, and studied the maps and handbook for hours (I have a long break, don't judge). But where do we go???? Please Cool Dog heeeeelllllllp!

Cool

More Jagoda Weirdness

Totally unrelated but, Mr. Jagoda posted a new video to his Facebook page and it's wonderfully bizarre. http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=41627032827

I don't know if anyone has posted this yet but the music that's playing at 10:46 is the battle music for the original Wild Arms.

I don't think that this is all leading up to WA5 marketing though. It's far to overt.

Wow, definitely didn't notice that before. Good ears.

I just recently got into all this and there's been some stuff I've wondered about:

At the beginning of the original video before the film starts, there's a blue screen with "-OHO2MI(or 1)5S" at the top left corner. Could that mean anything?

At the end of the video, you see a couple seconds of a variety show. Any ideas on what that's from or is it just reinforcing the idea that My Milwaukee was taped over something else?

Are there any news crews in Milwaukee?

News crews = news stations? Sure, we have a few. Any reason?

I've got a far fetched idea... Mabye this is advertising the next game in the Hoopz Barkley Saga... if you don't know what that is, I don't blame you. It's a little farfetched... but...

In the credits, under special thanks, it mentions "Tale of Game's"
I dont know any Tale of Game's, but I know about Tales of Game's. http://www.talesofgames.com/

Play Charles Barkley Shut Up And Jam Gaiden. It's amazing. I believe that This Is My Milwaukee is advertising for a sequal or spinoff of sorts.

In the promo video, there is an african american boy with a basketball (hoopz?). During the "teens" segment's simulation, the leader of the "party" is wearing a baseball cap (as hoopz did in shut up and jam gaiden). Hoopz even used guns for his weapons. A flare gun would be easy to use for him! Shut Up And Jam Gaiden had lots of random basketball stuff thrown in for the hell of it, and the fax overlays leading us to a basketball court makes even more links. It is likely that this takes place around the same era as SUAJG, as it has a general post-apocalypticness to it. Cyberpunk etc. It could be that after the climactic battle at the end of SUAJG, Hoopz moved to Milwaukee (possibly because of it's constant advertising of how it was "getting better"). Tales of Game's is at least likely to be making the game TIMM is advertising. If you just play SUAJG, you'll notice more similarities. The scenarios seem to be compatible... and seem to be almost equally ridiculous. Ah... and one more thing. What seals the deal for me in terms of Tales of Game's involvement is that SUAJG was RIDDLED with Wild Arms references... and in the "next time on blackstar no blackstar", there is music from Wild Arms.

I'm just making speculation, but I've got to say... IT WOULD BE SWEET.

In any case, go play Barkley while you're waiting for that timer to tick down!
