Any clue what to look for?

We're not yet sure if we're supposed to be looking for something, or if we're supposed to be there on any of the dates we've found, or... anything else. And that's still assuming we've got the right place (though it's looking more solid) Confused

I suppose anything that would look out of place - taped to anything - a map of sorts?

Everything we've found so far has had the fennel/family tree/heart on it. Your friend should look for that logo (for lack of a better word).

In the meantime, I've been trying to use photoshop to line up the SF drop map with the street map of central park on Google maps. I can't get anything that makes sense that combines the 84th street reference, the two circles, the road intersection, and the three lines. When I get one thing to line up, the other things don't line up with anything. Anybody else have any luck?

Since there's the Cleopatra's Needle/Pharaoh's Sarcophagus link from the video, maybe checking the needle as well just in case?

Same here, I can't seem to get the proportion down, at least nothing that matches clearly. The three parallel lines do suggest the grid is supposed to be placed as is (north) on the map.

Great job on this puzzle btw. Genius.

Do you think the entire grid covers all of New York, NY?

I'm not sure that the three overlaid images are meant to be an exact match for an existing map... I was thinking it was more like a hand-drawn treasure map. Significant landmarks noted, but not necessarily proportional.

Yes, great job everyone! It took me a 2 weeks to get caught up on the threads again and do something useful for a change!

I figured I'd post the best thing I could come up with before I give up, which is the collage below. The X seems to indicate something might be a little further west than the baseball fields in that oval-shaped area.

Still, I feel like this could be a stretch. I'll leave it to the rest of y'all to point out what's wrong with the picture below. Smile

Also thought I'd note that the exclamation mark fits conveniently under the road/intersection part of the map.

Hrm... That oval shaped area looks like a parking lot or maybe an area for the park facility people.

I think trying to take a crude hand drawn thing like this too literally in terms of scale is a bad idea.

I still like the idea that the thumbprint is the Great Lawn, the A refers to the Art Museum, the 2010 to the Jacky Onassis Reservoir (Jacky Onassis married JFK on october 20th, ie 10/20 or 20/10), etc etc.

If you're that close, get to CP and start hunting for clues!

So the question becomes - is this a hand drawn interpretation of NYC's Central Park area? If so, what becomes of it - what do we do with it? If not, is this a red herring to throw us off of something else? Or are we not getting it?

I like the idea of NYC, but are we falling too far away from Milwaukee?
