I think the new clue on the blog is saying that once we discover the key "put your name in the right place" and organize the message in the grid that we start and the center of the grid and work our way outwards to read the message. Its a common technique for route ciphers.

Hey, I'm new here....so sorry if I'm not too good at this..but this really caught my attention..its alittle odd.

I've read through everything from the start, just to make sure I follow.

Alright, I agree with Toasty, I opened up the image and lightened...

I get pretty much the same.

Anyone seen the opening to the post though?

"
Got these in random emails. Just thought they were funny. Obviously junk.
5 43 35 41 33 25 23 3
"

The numbers seem alittle odd to me...I tried converting them to ascii but didnt get anything.

Also..why the huge gap at the end of the post? I counted 42 empty lines. 42 mean anything to anyone? (Apart from being the answer to life, the universe and everything, but I doubt its a Hitchhikers Guide to the Universe clue)

Edit: Back on page 4, TheBruce said something about adjusting the numbers, I tried that and the numbers changed to 54 33 54 13 32 52 33,
repetitions of 54 and 33..I dunno. Also, I'm not sure which grid to apply it to. Any ideas?

"it is not" ...great. My bad.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

Okay, Idea 2. I was reading up on route cipher on Wikipedia, when I read this:

"The key might specify "spiral inwards, clockwise, starting from the top right"

Look back at the blog post of The World Is Closing In On Me. Anticlockwise Spiral starting from the middle right. I tried to put the text in lines of 5x33 (or 33x5) and de-spiral it....but I cant find anything spectacular. I think You might have to do some shifting or something, get the name part lined up, then spiral. Also...if you start from the middle right, you cant include all the letters, so maybe you have to start from a corner? I'm thinking top right, because the text is on the top, and right of the image.

About this (and what the guys above were saying); couldn't it be possible that the cipher is meant to be read starting from the outside, going inwards (ie. the lines are going towards the child). This way pays homage to the clue "the world closing in on me".

Is it possible that those numbers have something to do with the numbers recovered from the audio file a few pages back?

Tastuno found that by using our original 5x5 grid, it spelt itisnot, or It Is Not....refering to the "Obviously Junk" line.

Although...I think that was alittle too easy...the numbers might have connections to another grid (maybe the School memory one), or with the audio files. It might also have to do with the website inside those pictures...

Edit: Breakthrough. Maybe the words arent Reapark, Olive, Com and Au.....maybe it isnt Olive..but @ live? maybe its reaparkSPLATlive.com.au! Messaging with "4FLKC5" now. If its Bryce...he should understand his own code.

Edit2: Hang on..i'm getting a delivery falure message. Maybe I was wrong...or we are missing a letter. I think there is something infront of the R in reapark..but i cant distinguish what it is.

I have no idea. This one's really been bugging me lately...I just can't solve the cipher or the adress in the picture...but I felt so close. I don't think anyone has been able to crack it yet...or has just given up.

Possibly, we could try contact Bryce again, get some new hint..... I'm not sure. This is my first ARG and i'd REALLY like to finish it.
