Anywhere there's a hacked phone at least.

Or it could be her boss is Agent Smith.

Remember the speech about Programs facing deletion?
"...its the system assimilating something its not supposed to." - Oracle
"why?" - Neo
"Well they have their reasons, but mostly when a program faces deletion it can choose to hide here or return to the source." - Oracle
"The machine mainframe?" - Neo
"Yes, where the path of the One ends..." - Oracle

Maybe Avery is a program... instead of being deleted, he's starting assimilate other programs to try and survive.

I don't think Smith has been around for the past few reloads... in fact, I think he's only as old (new?) as the current iteration of the Matrix. Agent.v.5.0 if you will.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought the Twins were earlier versions of the Agent program, which obviously have managed to escape being decompiled.

he's either been around for more then one iteration, or upon his deletion he has gained more knowledge.
Because in the beginning of the movie when Neo fights the three agents after the rebels find out that 250,000 sentinels are coming for Zion...
Smith appears and says the following:
SMITH: "Its all happening exactly like before."
A shadowed figure approaches Smith, as soon as he speaks the audience recognizes it to be another Smith.
SMITH2: "Well not exactly."
They both smile.

Not to mention that Smith also already knows about the "Backdoors" and that Neo is headed for the Source near the end of the movie.

so every matrix v. prior to 6.0 went thru matrix reloaded... only... i doubt there was a morpheus.. and when it came time to go to source he went...

but in one, trinity is there, they fall in love, he saves morpheus,dies,relives... etc... trinity is the girl the thing that makes thie neo diff, and somehow that sets off events making this smith diff...?

Well, if Agent Smith has been around through a Reload, it could explain why he goes all viral: something buggered up on the server when they brought the Agent.Smith program back online, else he wasn't shut down properly before the Matrix was reloaded

I'm gonna make a response to that in the thread I made "Relativity to the Matrix" Smile

Lets keep these threads from getting much longer.
