Pretty cool, but let's just lay off of Alex, okay? The Commander needs us! Very Happy

I know. It's just an email conversation that's been going on this whole time that I figured you guys would want to see. I saw that you guys were going to inquire about BTB, but if that's not possible yet (as seen in Alex's reply) then I think you should maybe pick another question or something.

Not trying to tell you how to live your life (although mittens saves lives), just making a suggestion. Smile

I concur. Besides, if the puzzles are based on slowly revealing this title, we already know the first word: Beat. Of course, that could be a clue to another meta-puzzle... or a red herring. Who knows? Anyway, I am back from being asleep, and the Commander has not responded to my message, most likely because he does not want to sadden me by telling me directly that it's too late, because the recruits are to be the only participants in this event.

Hmm, I'm not sold on the "alternate reality game" idea then if they're going to be so open about the whole thing. It's just viral marketing.

And if it's not going to be called Nether Earth then why all the Nether appearances!

There are so many questions currently that may be asked from the commander... What should I ask? I am one of the ten recruits, and any info should be welcome. So, anything you need to know or should I just ask what I see is best?

You know, guys, I think I see the reason that CV has not updated the missions yet... the request for the Wiki is missing one of his requests, the information about BTB. In light of BTB being confirmed as the initials for the title, shouldn't someone add something about the WiiWare game's codename being "BTB"? It seems to me that calling it a codename would solve the issue of justifying its signifigance.

Then, if I have been following this correctly, his request would be complete.

The first mission, the recruitment, was completed, ten were recruited.

The second request, the images, was solved, to form BEAT. He signified its completion by posting the BEAT image on his site.

The third was the wiki. It is almost completed. He requested data about Gajin, Wiiware, and BTB on it. 2/3 done. Maybe if that is fullfilled he will post something to the Wiki himself, or put something on his Twitter, or site, to signify it.

Is it worth a shot? Should I do it, or reserve the honor for one of the Recruits, as I have been rejected of recruithood?

And, StarSeeker, I don't know what you should ask right now, to be honest. Perhaps you should save your inquiry for a bit? Don't ask me, though. I'm just tagging along.

I think we're supposed to post images, too.

We don't really have any that could be used as game art, or anything Wikipedia would find justifiable as useful in a encylopediac context, though, do we?

Maybe an image of the video, particularly the box that may be Commander Video.

If right now the wikipedia entry is about the ARG why couldn't we put the images from the ARG up?

Good point. Alright, what image would portray the ARG best?

Also, what reference should be used for the BTB info?

(I must go soon, for work)

IDK, something like
http://commandervideo.com/images/COMMANDERVIDEO.jpg
or http://commandervideo.com/images/J_BN_POMZ_B_NBO.jpg
as its possibly a game image? I think either would work simply because they are from the arg and thats what the article is about, no?

All images from the site + the video should be posted.
Maybe even the mp3 and album art?

I think it's rather difficult to come up with a single valid illustration about/for this ARG (if it's not a cheaply done try on viral marketing). Maybe we could use a Berzerk-image? The robots in that game look a bit like a buffed version of CV.... Smile

I've added information about BTB, although I'll need someone to find a way to make the email about the game be a valid source, as I'll need to get off soon.

Also, I think the image of COMMANDERVIDEO will be best, as it portrays the ARGness of it. I'm not at all savvy with Wikipedia code, though, so perhaps I shouldn't handle that bit.

DerKork: No... I think you're kidding, but that will definitely not go well for keeping the wiki article up.

GenisSage, even though you didn't get to be a recruit it doesn't mean you can't participate in the ARG like everyone else. The recruit thing was IMHO only to solve the image puzzle.

And as said, I will wait until we find something worth asking about.

As for wiki images, I think a picture of The Commander is enough...a picture from the video, preferably.

Of course my comment about berzerk was a humorous reference. It surely wouldn't work.

I think the "Blockhead" image is the closest we got as a visual representation of The Commander.
