I dreamed of them again.

It was the end this time. I saw all the lights go out.

Whoever knew what the Array was about to do probably felt it would be a failure, that it was a hopeless fight, even if they never showed it.

But they won. They paved the way and allowed their nemesis to ultimately be beaten by the efforts of their descendants. From what I know of the Parasite, I don't think either of them saw that coming.

They won. If the dead can hear me, I want them to know that they won.


Once you've scraped that coarse edge of death, you feel what it's like to live.

After waking from cryo properly this time, when last time it could have easily been me that didn't, I'm feeling the life in my own veins very keenly. It's given me a different perspective on history. I cherish the actions of the past more, now that I know what I would have missed if things had been different. Everything we've been through, everything we've done, good and bad - everything's led to this point. Would the same have happened if things had been different?


Even Alexis - did she know that by losing her life she'd be saving ours?

I wonder, what was her dream?

But this is where we are now, and we've all decided to put past issues behind us as best we can and move forward as a team. Of course, the easy part is forgiving each other. Forgiving ourselves - that's a mission in itself.


I can only hope that what Essy has discovered about herself allows her to truly see her potential, and that this mission can be as rewarding for her as we hope it will be for us.
We've entered orbit. I have my equipment prepared and my mind is already racing. I want to know more about their actions, their lives, their culture. I want to peer through the veil of history and feel that same surge of life in them that's stirring in me now. Military has had its time. Now it's time for the little people, the forgotten ones.


To find the one who found my ancestors - that would be my dream.


It pleases me to no end to be able to say: we're here.

Sorry I've been quiet lately; been moving and starting class. I'm glad that Essy seems okay, but now I wonder about Sys. From my brief catch-up, it sounds like Sys missed her window to reintegrate with Essy, and now we're trying to figure out what to do with her.

Well, since Anaerin's SPDR is out, and reintegration is no longer an option, I would guess that Eridanos is really the only choice left. After checking out Twitter again, I think that I may have been a bit harsh on him before. At least I'm not as bad as essyfan... haha.

 		and i distinctly remember bungie saying they had nothing to do with this, bs in its purest form

altho i cant rly say i'd expect them to admitting to be apart of this, it would ruin the game, eh w.e, it was still fun, and a great story

 		Well its not actually written that they had something to do with this but its basically implied since it uses an in depth level of the halo storyline

 		Besides the update to Eridanos' blog that MrToasty posted about here, there have been some changes on http://thewaytheirworldended.com/ mainly for purposes of archiving I suppose.
Here are the changes that I've noticed:
* There are "[VIS]" links beside the two audio tracks that link their corresponding youtube pages. I think those are new.
* The http://thewaytheirworldended.com/SYS/LOG/ page has been fully updated, including an internal link to the last video http://thewaytheirworldended.com/SYS/VISUALIZE/S4_DATASTREAM_DREAM-2

Are there any other updates?
