Awesome!

The final pathlock leads here:
PKRDHYINILMJNWLRVIZZJQ: >NODE:DATA/SWP:CLSFD/PATHLOCK:JMRJSSWBZHIX//GRP:SDAT1/[S/"Story piece"/into-the-sheets]

I got a little mixed up but I believe this is Noah's bio. Pandora's is on page 58 if you need it.

Name: Noah John Dressler;
Age: 36 Earth Standard Years;
Born: September 16, 2749, Earth Standard, Cincinnati, Ohio;
Appearance: 6'1", 175 lbs.;
Hair/Eyes: brown/blue;
Parent/Mother: Jeanette Tess Dressler. Still living.;
Parent/Father: George John Dressler. Still living;
Achievements: Masters in Starship Systems Engineering from Lunar College, Commendation from UNSC Admiral Reynolds, multiple patents;
Conditions: No known prescriptions.;

Latest psychoanalysis: Noah was hostile to psychoanalysis. Maintained that he had better things to be doing. Past sessions indicate a tendency to overwork. Enjoys solving problems, to the point where he will forgo human contact as he attempts to solve them.

Pathlocks for (Group 20090608) Noah Dressler's bio

Good going, Nyst! You might want to remove that last sentence though; "Often lacking proper rest and nutrition and anxiety since father passed away, overcompensating grief with excessive work ethic.".. it belongs to Pandora's bio.

I'm posting this list here so that it will show up on a google search for anyone else who may be blindly stumbling around the black, brick walls of the dark and scary secret maze, like me.
These have already been found and resolved.

Pathlocks for (Group 20090608) Noah Dressler's bio:

TOSSED-ROUND-ABOUT.gif

the series of black shapes underneath the text on tossed round about is bothering me, i could be wrong but i am absolutely convinced that there is something hidden in the picture. its file size is 50786 bytes, which i suppose is a normal filesize for a gif, but it just strikes me as odd to go through the effort of making the damn thing for it to serve no other purpose than to distract us. just putting my opinion out there, hoping like hell im right so i dont make a fool out of myself Smile

edit: here is the source code for the site...
<html><head><title>TOSSED-ROUND-ABOUT</title><style>#background { position:relative; } #pieces { position:absolute; } #background, #pieces { background:transparent;display:block;top:0px;left:0px;width:1064px;height:734px; } #pieces div { position:absolute; }</style><script></script></head><body><div><div></div></div></body></html>

im not incredibly familiar with java, but as i understand it, javascript is commonly used for actions on a website right?

GRP:20090615: Isaac Higgins bio
New set of classified bio info in the secret maze

Hi, Vanfisa! If you look at the previous story pieces collection pages;
http://thewaytheirworldended.com/BROKEN-PIECES/
http://thewaytheirworldended.com/STREWN-ABOUT/ and
http://thewaytheirworldended.com/SCATTERED-STARS/
you'll see similar gifs there, which serve as a background for the story piece gifs and links to the mp3s.
It's always good to dig and question everything while ARG.. so I say "good going" at cha. Smile

*******************
Wandered around http://thewaytheirworldended.com/Q7J8R04J87FFJ983Q2/ and stumbled upon new classified info pathlocks for Isaac Higgins, the Scientist on board the Lewis & Clark.

Here are two of them. We've seen from the other bios, that there are more to find. So if anyone goes searching, be on the lookout for "GRP:20090615."

I've made the pathlock sequence bold letters and underlined the bits of text to piece together for the bio.

Calling anaerin to the plate. Smile

I just read this whole thread--- whew this is one of the most complex games I have ever seen! This maze stuff is crazy hard to understand for an outsider, but I've managed to pick up the fact that you follow the two-letter "paths" until you get a yellow circle... For instance:

drizjr wrote:
FRIUVVAAIG leads to KQDVVDRGNRILMJNWLRQK

I went to http://thewaytheirworldended.com/Q7J8R04J87FFJ983Q2/ I followed FR-IU-VV-AA-IG - the yellow circle appeared and then at the bottom I see this:

Code:
>NODE:DATA//Research Note/REF:PNC/DSJV-0ASU-NDYI-V78J
[[SWP:CLSFD//Aberrant data secured w/pathlock KQDVVDRGNRILMJNWLRQK for analysis]]

From that I can see that where it says DSJV-0ASU-NDYI-V78J is a link to http://thewaytheirworldended.com/SYS/DSJV-0ASU-NDYI-V78J/

So that's cool so far..

But how on earth do you get this??

Do you have to modify the URL somehow?

Also, how do you know if something has been found already, without going cross-eyed trying to match these indecipherable letter codes against the lists in this thread? What is currently being looked for?

And how do you go back in the path? Like say that I have taken one path and I want to back up and do a different path, how do I do that? I can't figure out how to reset it back to the start.

I'm sure I have other questions, but that's it for now Wink

EDIT: Clicking around like hell I somehow got this:
Code:
NODE:DATA/SWP:CLSFD/PATHLOCK:ZZJQKUFAWOZNHLDLTZ//GRP:

Which decodes to:

That's new, right?

And this maybe (more random clicking):

For Pathlock: KQDVVDRGNRILMJNWLRQK
You have to find "KQ" and then follow the path exactly, to receive data.

To get back to the start, you can just refresh or reload the page. Each part of the maze has one two letter code that will take you back to the place you just came from, but unless you note them down then it's not a reliable way to navigate.

The yellow circle means that there is some data there, some pathlocks are in places with no data.

The best way to tell what we've already used would be to look at the Aberrant data at http://sites.google.com/site/anaerin/results-1. We're looking for pathlocks that we haven't yet used, the one you found does seem to be new.

Grats on reading the entire thread, lol.

gifs

not to sound rude, but after my debacle of posting all that info that people already had i learned from my mistakes. these gifs are different, no links, no pictures, just empty black spaces that upon further reflection look almost like they should have the pictures from the other sites, or some currently unknown site placed in them. so, back to the maze for me, ill post whatever i find that hasnt been found, ya dig?

I don't know if anyone found this yet but if you look in the backround of TOSSED-ROUND-ABOUT there is a message.

You've got it exactly right. The "collector" page starts with that background and nothing else. Each time someone finds a new story piece .gif, it unlocks and appears on the collector page, and eventually they're all there. At least, that's the way the previous collector pages worked, as drizjr has said.

By all means keep exploring the maze -- as danteIL just demonstrated, there is unquestionably more stuff for us to find this week. (I'm lazy and will wait for anaerin's program to do the work. Mr. Green )

Where? I can't see it!

I believe that's my queue.

I guess I should get .net 4.0 installed on this (Vista) box and get the program running again....

Give me a while...

I have been toying with the idea of writing up what 'story' we know here - like, what we're actually *learning* from these snippets and pieces and encoded texts, but I am not altogether sure how I would go about it, or even if there's a *there* there, you know what I mean?

In other words, I would love to do a Story So Far so newer people could feel a little more at home, but I am not sure what sort of cohesive narrative there might be from all these pieces. Yet.

I don't understand how to interpret this output. How can you tell what's new and what's been found or not?
