Got a new email... not from Stuey though...

Hi Agent Lex,

I am afraid but Stuey Anderson is off work, in hospital with a serious
head injury. It would seem as if he has been using his email account for
purposes other than work. The police are looking into this as part of
their investigations.

As you are one of a number of people he corresponded with just before the
incident I have forwarded your details to Investigating Officer, DC Simon
Wallace, of the Metropolitan Police Force.

Once again, sorry for the bad news, Stuey is a close friend and I wish him
a fast recovery.

CC'd in was simon.wallaceSPLATmetpoliceforce.com which gives us a new site http://metpoliceforce.com/ (note this is NOT the real met site, which is at http://www.met.police.uk/ ) - and oh look, on 6th October "a 28 year old male was found unconscious"

There's also a phone number on their contact page...
Phone: 020 7193 1413
Email: infoSPLATmetpoliceforce.com

PS: hehehe at the about page.

EDIT for extra info...
Looks like we found Dawn Price

Original post of Dawn's demise...

http://metpoliceforce.com/?p=15

Quote:
A 22 year old web designer from London has been found dead in her bed.

Her body was found by a friend who was worried she hadn't turned up for a lunchtime meeting. Police were later called to the flat on Nettleton Road, New Cross Gate, where a body was found. A statement by Lewisham Police states that "the cause of death has not been confirmed and results of a post mortem examination are yet to be released. There are no signs of forced entry to the residence and no foul play is suspected, but it seems the victim was somehow asphyxiated"

The investigation continues.

Hehe, the 'About' page made me giggle. So I'll gonna try firing off an email about Dawn and Stuey, not quite sure what to ask but I'll think of something. Question is, do we help the cops? I'm guessing we do, we have no reason not to as of yet but let's be cautious for now. I'm gonna try calling the number provided as well, maybe we can get some more info out of it.

Going through the backlog of posts on the met police force site is insteresting though, they have some genuine news stories on there, and even real life numbers for crimestoppers and the police incident room. Good thing they put that 'Fighting crime on the internet' tagline or it could easily be mistaken for a genuine site, eek!

Also, were we aware that Stuey has a Facebook page? I'm adding him. Found his page through the UK Dance Radio FB, and they have a Twitter too but I'm not Twitterati so if anyone else is on there, maybe we should follow him/UK Dance Radio?

Can't sign up to the UK Dance Radio forums, how did you manage it Lex? Whenever I go to register the 'Register' button is greyed out and unclickable, very odd.

The phone number leads to a voicemail system, you can leave a message for Simon Wallace or Annabelle Becks. I didn't bother for now, but if I hear back from Simon Wallace I'll make sure my next contact is a phone call.

Sad

I got invited to go to a live event yet again by Thea but seeing as I'm across the pond I don't see it happening. Color me a sad bunny...

That is odd. I signed up at work, after happening to be on lunch when they tweeted that the forums were open. The register button wasn't greyed out or anything.

For more twitter goodness: Pleasure Principled is now at @pleasureprncple.

Hello guys. This is my first time participating in an ARG so I hope this hasn't been posted somewhere else, and I hope it helps. It looks like you guys were right about Price being a name. I found this on the met page when I hit the tag asphyxiated.

Quote:
Police in Lewisham are still trying to trace the last hours of Dawn Price, the New Cross girl found dead in her bed, earlier this month. Information recieved suggest she may have been out with friends the night she died.

Anyone with information should contact Detective Inspector Annabelle Becks on 020 7193 1413

I know I will be! I believe Steve Peters will be in London for the Power to the Pixel conference, so he's attending too.

ETA: Interview with Yomi Ayeni (the guy running the game) will be happening then archived at http://www.ustream.tv/channel/remix-fiction

Hey,

I'm new to ARGs, but I emailed Thea way back and so am jumping in now. Haven't seen any of this mentioned here yet...

Who else got an invite and joined the group Clamamus Pro Aeris? Because...

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I noticed a member of the group was droogieSPLATclamamusproaeris.com, so I had a little visit to that domain. There's blacked out text - "Seek and you shall find". The letter 'D' in 'find' is a link, which when clicked comes up with a username/password box. Curious.

Can't wait for it all to kick off!

Why? Is something happening there?
EDIT: nevermind, I see now that's where the screening is. In which case, yes I will be there.

Uh... whut? I think we need a little more explanation, I certainly haven't seen this Clamamus Pro Aeris mentioned here.

Okay, right... Well, a week or so ago, I got emailed an invite from Thea to join a Google group, Clamamus Pro Aeris. I assumed it was sent to everyone who'd emailed her, but maybe not? There are only 13 members.

Anyway, these are the two messages Thea has sent out so far:

Quote:
Welcome to Clamamus Pro Aeris,

You have been invited to join this group because you are interested in
our way of life. We make no excuses or apologies, and live on the edge
- always.

Next week will be a special one for you. We meet on Wednesday evening
at a social gathering held in the Movieum on the Southbank (County
Hall), London. You will be informed of how to identify the group
leaders. You will be given something unique, which will give you
access to special places, people, and experiences.

You will be tested, your resolve will take a bashing, we need to be
certain that you are ready.

It's not just about pleasure, or pain, or even life or death. It's
about being, it's about becoming.

Participate. Interact. Breathe

And then, yesterday:

Quote:
Libera te ex inferis
Aequam memento rebus in arduis servare mentem

All adventures start with a step, and yours begins tomorrow.

Movieum, County Hall, London - 7pm.

Hold a copy of Timeout, make sure it is visible.

We will make contact.

Tomorrow is the first day of your new life.

Q
Clamamus Pro Aeris

Apologies for the long post, but if not many people have got these I figured you'd want to see them in full.

Unfortunately, I won't be able to get to London tonight. Sad Looking forward to hearing all the details from those going.

I'm going to assume this has been seen before...

This is the first and last time you will hear from me. This email account
is deleted.

London. 2009, mid-October. Summer gives way to Autumn and the
city swarms with people sucking in the stale air. Cars sit and choke at
traffic lights. Trains cough out passengers. Evenings draw in like shadows
over lungs. Clubs and bars pump out their music in dying gasps.

And there is news of a mysterious death...
