Hello everyone, it seems we have a new friend in common. It is hard not to connect with Pali's friendly messages. As well, it is hard to distinguish an ARG from reality when most of what we have are email conversations. I find this fascinating.

Cheers on the Wiki idea, its a good spot to collect all the info.
About the 20 questions,. i will post some of mine in there Smile In the meantime just wanted to say hello, i've been engaged in conversation with pali for a bit now, but just wanted to offer my help to any of you if you need to.

I got Pali to find the evacuation plans, and Nics is covering for her.

Alright. I'll do it tonight. After dinner. Because that's when I usually have a shower.
Wish me luck!
I'll let you know what I find.

I think if you're worried(which it seems you are), and you know where it is, can get it, and you know that you have Nics covering you, you should go for it.

I talked to Nics about the whole evacuation thing. Her reaction was pretty funny. She didn't really care about the evacuation plans, but she got really annoyed that they were trying to hide "yet another thing" from us. Nics said that she'd cover for me, if I decide to go look. We'd use the old "long shower" routine. We've done it before, a couple of times. It works, because I really do take long showers.
BUT... I need to make a final decision.
I guess with someone covering me, I'm a lot less likely to be caught. I know where it is. It wouldn't be that hard...
What do you think?

ETA - Guys! She's told me! I think the code she mentions is ROT.

Wow, I'm so pumped! And breathless!
I just got back in, they didn't catch me, but it was so close!
I was coming out of the room, when Toke decided to take a stroll down the corridor. I didn't know what to do, I thought I was caught for sure. I thought, alright, no choice, I'll duck into the men's bathroom. But that was where he was going! Luckily, I managed to get into a cubicle, and stand on a seat - it made me feel a bit like James Bond.
BUT THE ADRENALINE!
The way there was fine, and I got into the room and everything, no problem. It wasn't even locked (even though I had a fork with me, which gets you in to some of the old rooms). The evacuation plan was easy to find - it was in a binder labelled "evacuation plan." Like I said, it's clearly not that secret!
I read through the plans. They seem to make a lot of sense. I'm not really worried about a fire anymore.
First of all, I found out we have an automated sprinkler system in our room, and in some of the corridors, so that's a relief. Secondly, the fire alarm things apparently yell instructions in case of fire. We Cat. As are supposed to proceed along a bunch of corridors (there are even alternate routes - how organised!), and the tutor's routes intersect with us, for a while. But, Annabel has ultimate responsibility for us, I discovered, since her office is really close to our rooms.
As far as I can tell, the cat. As, Dengo, and Annabel get led to a place called "location A." What exactly is in the location A, I have no idea. It doesn't seem to be an exit... I'm not sure.
But I have kind of a clue. There were these little electronic things, I'm not sure what exactly they do. Apparently, the ones I found were back ups, and the originals are installed in the correct places in the centre, etc.
I nicked the one that said "location A." Beneath it was a label which said Cat. C. E#16589232. That's an employee number. I looked it up - John Downings. Just a name, I'm not sure what he does, because I found him in the paper index look up. I'm guessing that's who uses it.
And here's the weird part - the top part says "enter key," and there's a little keyboard, where you can enter letters. Then, at the bottom, there's an electronic screen, but it just has gibberish displayed.
I'll type it up:
Fmyyqp gfg Qkytrillja pwazjrzo ywpqwg
Awfbrx Tdhprzl/Kdhqpeqpgd Vkegku UF
Poogme Gnlcjvkf Yolhyu WA
Tsy Zetpgy GQ
Akaqguj UDI hvgod 100%
Fohvjeglh Ohgqzklhf
Orb Agn/Fciz/Znjarg
Inof zg ecpu
Begfvdkalrx lr Gpnvqhq

Jc AZI ekerha.

Now what is that supposed to mean?
Anyway, my fears were completely unfounded. I should have known EMA would be super organised!

That picture is of a real newspaper, although the text lines may be 'shopped. Abdullahi Yusuf was the prez of Somalia until the 29th of December.

I do not think that this will lead to something. It is just formatted as block without hyphenation. Than there will be always big spaces.

It's Vigenere with keyword DOWNING.

Cyclic and Collective controls locked

Go EMA remote.

Awesome job! I was trying to figure it out with the old paper and pencil method. Embarassed I tried running some camo and color stuff on the newspaper but couldn't find anything.

Bah, I tried searching for the actual newspaper. I actually even tried the Daily Bugle O.o Anybody have any idea what the newspaper is? Hmm, perhaps running the headline will work.

*runs off into the dark shrouds of Google*

Bah, the search had absolutely no help. I STILL don't know the title of the Newspaper.
