There is a link to Kite's myspace in Pali's latest plog post:
http://www.myspace.com/kiteleon

Is Kite male or female? Pali refers Kite as "him", but on myspace Kite is a 104 year old female single.

I asked Pali what would happen if they found out about the computer, his/her response
Quote:
Hmm...
I'm not sure, but I think Teer will get involved.
Which is bad news.
Very bad.
That's why I'm keeping it very well hidden (under a pile of clothes.)

I still don't know about SPEA. A leap of faith....
I don't know if I trust them.

I am sure you are right Victor, it just feels odd. Confused
Why was I chosen? I wasn't first on the puzzles unless I was first with the 2nd one. Their has to be some reason for their choice, I sent them an email asking why I was chosen.

I asked Pali about the persons from Kite's first riddle. Her answer:

Quote:

Ok, I'll tell you who all these people are:
Farren - Head of EMA. Kind of father-like to us. He has funny eyebrows. He's closest to Dengo, takes a lot of Dengo's classes, doesn't take anyone elses.
Annabel - General organiser person.
Jennings - Nics' favourite tutor. He is pretty nice.
Doyle - Another tutor. Likes to make fun of me, because I'm short.
Toke - Another tutor. Kind of boring, actually.

Pali has a new post on his blog today. It has to do with us making 20 questions for Tom A and himself to answer. If Tom A wins then Pali won't do an audioblog, but if Pali wins Tom A has to be in Pali's audioblog. Sounds fun. Any ideas for questions?

I emailed Pali a few questions
Quote:
I am curious whether Kite is a male or a female. In your blog you say him but on Kite's MySpace it says female.???? I have the same silly question about you. I think of you as a female but nothing that you have said has really given me any clue as to whether I am correct or not.

I worry about you getting caught with the computer, so please be very careful. Tell Kite to be very careful too okay?

Do you think that EMA is a good organization and do you think they really care about the environment? I don't really understand why you are with them, you are very young.
How old were you when you started to live with them? Have you ever heard of an organization called SPEA?

Please be sneaky with your computer usage,
<3

Her reply
Quote:
Ha! Someone else asked me that, and I was like "what?" But now I know why.
Trust Kite to put some random information in his profile. He told me he entered a postcode for Glendale. As far as I know, he's never been there. The wonders of the internet.
But I am most certianly female.

Yeah, I am being very careful with the computer, and I will make sure that Kite is as careful as me. Did I tell you we keep changing the clothes it's hidden under to make it more convincing?

I'm pretty sure EMA do care about the environment. Otherwise, how would they get all the funding to do what they do? It's pretty big budget. And also, why would my parents let me come here if they didn't? My parents are the major reason. I trust them one hundred percent. I left them when I was about ten and half, and came to the EMA centre.

SPEA? How do you know about them? The cat. As and I call them the crackheads, because they're completely mad. They have all these weird conspiracy theories about EMA. They broke into the EMA centre a couple of years ago, and tried to kidnap us. It was nasty. Nics ended up being held at gun point. Luckily, EMA called in extra security, and she was rescued.

I will be super sneaky with the computer...

Happy New Year! (By the way.)

And I received this from Zonk
Quote:
Because of your correspondence with Pali about SPEA, we do not consider you safe to involve directly in the current mission.
We will select another in your place.
However, your final willingness to protect the environment is an important thing to SPEA.
If we require more assistance in the future, we my contact you.
Zonk

Laughing I wasn't really sold on working for them anyway.

I don't know what questions to ask Kite and Pali. Confused

Whatever questions we ask we just need to make sure Pali can win.

I don't really know how the quote thing works on here but here are some random things I've been asking Pali. I dunno if any of it is relevent but every little bit counts I guess.

Well, I think you can move between catagories, but I think it's more common between maybe catagories F,E,and D.
I guess, then it's sort of like being promoted.
But I think it's mainly to do with what catagory you need to be in, to do whatever it is you do at EMA.

Yeah, I got Kite on the net! It wasn't hard. He likes anything to do with music, so it drew him like the good old moth-flame.
The only problem with it, is now I have to let him use the laptop!

Is there any way that you can move up or down the categories or is it something your just put into?
I see you got Kite introduced to the internet. That's pretty exciting!

Yay!
Another new person.
Yeah, I'm a cat. A.
I think the lowest category is category F. And it only goes one higher than me - U.P.T. Which as far as I know is only Dengo.

I hear you like to make puzzles. I just happen to like doing puzzles.

I just found out the Pali, as a cat A, studies politics. Does Tom A mean that Tom is a Cat. A or is that just an initial to his last name? If he's not a Cat. A then we could post some political questions and Pali would definitely win.

Well, his email IS TomAtheCatASPLATgmail.com, after all.

waitress, I had a bit more luck with the finding outness. And, once again, I was the "other person" mentioned. I...went a bit overboard, I guess.

Gmail Correspondence wrote:
1) Well, the wall was about half burnt, which caused the roof issues, it took 3 or 4 days (parents had REALLY good contractor, Eli(his name) has always looked out for us when things like this happen.) to fix it up. And yeah, that is odd, why would they keep you from your plans? If they were seperated from you in a fire or something, that would kind of suck, wouldn't it?

2) Ohhhhhh, that explains it. So, I can mark off Glendale as your secret location =P

1) I'm really glad that it wasn't as bad as you thought. You've fixed it all up already? Wow, that's record speed. I know anything here that involves building, or renovating, always takes months, even if it is just one wall.
Are all the important things working, (water, electricity, etc.)?
I asked Toke about the evacuation plans. He said, they're secure plans, in a secure location, too secure for me to know about at my young impressionable age, blah, blah, blah. He said that part of the plan was that if a fire or something started, one of the Konks would make sure all of us knew where to go, what to do, and how to get out quickly.
I think that's really lame. Surely we should be able to see our own evacuation plans.
And they're not that secure. I know where they're kept actually. I guess I could sneak in there, and take a look at them, but really, they're evacuation plans. I'm pretty sure we'd be safe in case of fire. I don't think it's worth the risk of being caught.

2) Ha! Yeah, Kite never uses real information, except his name. He always enters random things. I don't know why, because then he says our names and stuff about us when he blogs, or whatever (like that thing he wrote about my puzzle.)

On Wed, Dec 31, 2008 at 10:26 PM, Gregory Zilberg <zolosamurai> wrote:

Well, 1) It was kind of an exageration, as we were leaving, most of the house seemed to be burning. When it was put out, all the walls and everything was salvaged, only 1 wall really suffered so extensively that we needed to have it renovated, as well as small sections of the roof. It was a quick fix, actually, we're already back and living here again.

2) I was just asking because his MySpace says he's a girl O.o

Jesus!
I nearly missed this email. Stupid gmail.
I'm so sorry for you, that's terrible.
Was everything insured?
Did you manage to get important things out, like photo albums, and things?
It's really lucky you had an evacuation plan. I don't even want to think about what might have happened otherwise.
You know what... I'm actually not sure if we have an evacuation plan. But it's kind of important, isn't it? I'll ask one of the Konks about it.

Oh god, that was scary. Our house just burned down in fire, thank god i grabbed my laptop, and that we had an evacuation plan of sorts for the house. Yeesh. This may seem like a stupid question, but do you have any evacuation plans for your center...house...place?

Kite leon's myspace has a new blog about how Dengo had taped over her song with whistling. Might be something exciting there. I don't really know how to cut sounds but just thought you guys should know.

Ok, this is really confusing!
I'm just going to reply to both your emails in one:

I didn't think about that. It sounds like the Konks didn't either. If there's a massive fire in the middle of the centre, then how are they going to get to us? The whole thing is really stupid. It's frustrating me.
Besides, the thought of being stuck inside a burning building... I don't know... It's the kind of thing I had nightmares about when I was little...
I'll ask Dengo. I think he's sleeping with us tonight. He might know, or he might not. He might know and not tell me T.T

Civil servants... Well, according to wikipedia - "A civil servant or public servant is a civilian public sector employee working for a government department or agency."

We share tutors in principal, but everyone spends more time with one person than with another. Kite spends most of his classes with Toke (I feel sorry for him), because he's the mathsy/engineering one. I spend most of mine with Doyle.
Ah, but you can't just ask questions about politics! Tom A will never fall for that. XD...
No, I do want it to be kind of fair... Well, a little bit fair... Well, not completely unfair. Otherwise, I'll feel bad.
Besides, I think I can beat him anyway ; )
As long as you don't ask any questions about natural resources, and the environment. That's what he learns mostly about.

So, let's get together a guide of 20 questions that we'll post on the blog when we're sure it's something Pali will win.
