This is getting difficult with what feels like at least 3 people now using the shrecknet email address. I'm not sure now who exactly I'm trading emails with - is it Netchurch? Is it Porter? And now this Hanthe guy.
The really confusing part for me the past week or so - is I had fired an email off to shrecknet, asking a question, and yet all of the subsequent responses have felt/sounded like they all came from a different person.
Of course all of this leads me back to the idea, that this may have more to do with the original Smithy ARG, than we suspect. I'm thinking it's entirely possible we're dealing with 1 person - with at least 3 personalities now. I dunno - I can offer reasons as to why that theory doesn't work too - but the 1 email address is odd.

The email you got back about his password not being a secret makes me wonder if back towards the start of this - we should have been able to figure out Jonathan/Jonah's email address - as it told us specifically in "d":

But I wasn't ever able to find an email address for Swift, once we learned his name. Nor log into any of those sites, using his supposed username and password.

Or is it even important?

 		Hanthe is me. Alan Hanthe is an anagram for my blog name, Nathan Hale. ^^

I sent that email to shrecknet last week, I was talking with the personality that was forgetful, so I assumed it was Jon/Jonah I was talking to. Guess I was right. ^^

Shrecknet is definitely confusing... gotta try and match the personalities in the emails and IM's with the personalities in the story. I got an IM (again, I was working at the time so I couldn't respond) that said " shrecknet: one of you... touched him... HOW?" Obviously that's not Jonah, but one of the people trying to get something from him. We just have to be careful what we say, I think.

One more note... Was the text on b always in wingdings, or did my other computer just not have that font?

Ha! I knew that Hale was you, I just didn't associate it - nor consider Hanthe was an anagram. I'm used to them using, The Jew, the flower, etc.

Awesome that you were able to "touch him" - very cool. We need to figure out a way to establish whom we're talking with when trading emails/IM's with them. I agree we need to be careful what we divulge to whom - but it's gonna be tough to figure it out sometimes.

I still wonder about his direct email address tho.

 		Don't hurt me for the double posting, I can never decide if I should keep editing the old one till it's 4pages long - or just make a new one.

Another email from shrecknet was sent, and if you didn't get it, it's also on the latest blogpost under shrecknet 1.
Dunno bout anyone else - but this cleared up quite a few things - as well as provided another few clues for us. I checked out the note that Porter mentioned:

Short and sweet - it's an article on parallel universes. Article here.

That answered a few questions as well, and got rid of the speculation about time loops, or memory loss.

Since I'm not sure if the Porter we're dealing with is the same one, or an "alternate" Porter, I asked what the last thing he remembered about Swift was (I never specificallly mentioned Jon/Jonah). I asked what his interest in him was, and if he knew any other way to get in touch with Swift as opposed to using Netchurch as our new very unreliable mobile phone (you never know if the call is gonna get thru Laughing). I also asked if he could give any info on Sara - more than the "stay away" - that we've gotten a few different times now.

One thought since we're being more discreet in our communications. If this does turn out to be an alternate Porter, his intentions towards Swift may be slightly/totally/not at all different from the original. It's pretty obvious so far, that if we're looking at an alternate Jonathan - things definitely aren't the same.

If one of us got the chance to actually go meet with one of the vampires in this story, after dark, in an alley or a public place, where your safety had been promised; would you go? Say it was Porter. What about Netchurch or Sara? Twisted Evil

I would guess that you'll start getting them shortly. With you being the one that got thru to Jon...

New post is up titled '3'. This time it looks as though it was JonahFalcon's and myself turn to reach Swift via email. I think we might need to check out internet connections, as our emails are somehow being translated across space and time - so we never know WHO might really be getting them Laughing

All kidding aside - it would appear random emails are getting thru to Jonathan, which goes back to jslice's original comment, of we need to be careful what we're sending. Thanks to the last story with the "original" Swift, we know that shortly after his meeting with Jack, he's abducted. I would suggest that any emails sent to shrecknet include a brief warning about getting the f*#$ out of town.
We don't know at this point whether the abduction is likely to still take place or not, or even if he's going to have a chance to meet up with Jack. What I know of Jack he's there to help out the n00b Kindred. This Jonathan doesn't qualify.

Again, similar story - with differences. I did fire off an email warning Swift to get out - and strangely it got thru to him as an encoded email.

It also looks like we've got someone else starting to follow the story, "jki6783" - they've posted comments on a couple of the different posts, but it looks like they're kinda lost at this point. Perhaps they'll join in when they find a link to the forums.

The encoded email to Swift, was written by me. As far as Elmer, I dunno - it is a bit strange. I'm going to attempt to log into CNNSI, as well as a few of the others mentioned in the beginning. Thing is - I can't see what might possibly be of relevance within those sites, with the exception of his email (I still haven't been able to locate that one).

I got the same email today, but out on the road again, so I haven't had a lot of chance to look at it.

The guy jki6783 made a few more comments on the post, asking a few questions, so I invited him over to the forums. He's obviously done a bit of research. I wasn't able to find the "smile" post he referred to - so I'm not sure if he found another solution to one of the puzzles or one that's been solved. Anyone else familiar with what he's referring to?

I'll try and work on the email a bit tonight if I get a chance.
