another blog update

Sorry to double-post, but there's another new blog update:
http://jonahnynla.wordpress.com/2009/01/04/3/

Update "c" implied that Don and Marko are looking for an account password, and this update gives a clue to the password to Jon's computer.

I googled a little, found
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
http://www.research.att.com/~njas/sequences/A120119
and posted it in a comment. *fingers crossed*

Yochanan has left a comment to petunia, saying

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I think it's a little simpler than that… think squares…

I see the code as...

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
1 25 49 ..., which is 1 squared, 5 squared, 7 squared - primes squared? But surely that'd be 1 4 9 25 49 ... ? Still, if you ignore the missing primes, the code would/could be 1 25 49 121 169.

And by live, I mean literally live. It's constantly being updated.

Wow, you're not kidding. Shocked I just added jonahnynla on AIM, but looks like I just missed him. Or he's going by a different username there.

Tried logging in to the sites mentioned (AOL, NFL, ESPN, etc.) with the username jonahnynla & password 12549613817 but no luck. I don't see a login link for CNNSI.com. Guess Jon (Jonah?) likes sports.

I just attempted to email jonahnynlaSPLATaol.com - got an immediate reply from AOL stating that email address doesn't exist.

His email/UN's are obviously different than his AIM name.

Watch your posts on the blog

Thought I'd share a bit of info - just so everyone is aware.

When I originally started that back and forth with WHO? on the 2nd blog post - my final entry was summarily changed.

The original post read:
Quote:
It will be that much easier to overwhelm you, while secure in your confidence and arrogance."

Without JonahFacon's mention of me being a "kiss-ass" I never would've noticed that the post had changed. Just a head's up to keep a closer eye on what's going on with the blogs.

FYI: Yes, I did make the other post saying "I await your command" - but I figured rather than admit they changed it, I'd play along seeing if it will accomplish something.

First let me just say: I am teh sux0rs at ciphers. Sad

I don't know what direction to go with this. The digit 0 makes me want to convert all the letters to their numerical equivalents (a=1, j=10 etc.) but I'm not sure what good that does. Been fiddling with it a little in Excel but haven't gotten anywhere interesting. Surely it's not another number sequence?

One thing that throws me off (besides the 0) is the fact that only 3 of the of the 44 letters (n, q, u) fall in the second half of the alphabet. Everything else happens at k or earlier. Hmm, k is the 11th letter of the alphabet, and there are 22 pairs, or 2 * 11... gah, stuck again. Bang Head

Pairs that appear more than once:
i.g - x3
a.j - x4
j.a - x2
j.c - x2
j.e - x2
k.d - x2

It doesn't look like a one-to-one substitution. Other than that, I got precious little. Dunno

changing letters to numbers gives:

Code:
[8.7] [9.7] [11.4] [1.10] [10.5] [1.10] [10.3] [5.8] [1.21] [11.1] [1.17] [9.7] [11.4]

[10.1] [10.5] [1.10] [10.15?] [9.7] [1.10] [10.3] [10.1] [1.14]

The question mark is for the capital O, which is just odd. Not only because it's the only capitol letter, but it's also the only couplet with 4 numbers.
