Just my 2¢:

This third piece of the map leaves no doubt that we're looking at Central Park, but I do think we've got at least one more piece to come. Which to me means that we're not supposed to take any action yet. The idea of a drop or a meetup on New Years Eve was only speculation; given that the third piece became available then, it would seem that this was the sole purpose of that date.

While there's no harm in someone heading out to look, there also doesn't seem to be any reason to yet. I expect that when there is, it will be pretty clear.

In the mean time, with the holidays over, I hope to start seeing more story development! My tweets don't feel complete without updates from Chuck =)

Well, since there is an element of improv in all of CF, then it's quite possible that if a group, wearing red, all converged on the volleyball courts singing the song from the end of the TIMM video at a specific date and time, the PM's would think that was pretty cool and do something while we were there.

This whole ARG thing can be a two-way street.

But that's meta-level thinking, and unless the MTC or the rebels, or Chuck, or Voltaire gave us a reason to do it in order to further the story, then there's no reason to do it.

Unless we wanted to have some preliminary practice for the upcoming Milwaukee Blackstar Hoopsters tryouts, but that would need the snow to clear first. Smile

Wow! So much has happened since New Year's!

I did a little digging on the web to find other maps of Central Park that the PM's might be using to build the overlay (just in case they are not using Google Maps like we are).

I didn't find much, but I did find a site that has a pretty detailed map with all the sidewalks and roads that Google Maps does not have. I'm posting these links because the detail they have might be helpful down the road.

Zoom on basketball/volleyball courts: http://www.centralpark2000.com/maps/map_85e.htm

Whole CP map cut into 12 pieces: http://www.centralpark2000.com/products/map/map_home.html

Kudos to everyone who figured this out so quickly. I must say that even though I took the trip to Central Park a couple weeks ago with robblatt, I doubted that it would end up being Central Park! I'm a believer now! Great job!

From the google maps overhead, it looks like there's a tree smack dab in the middle of the courts. Perhaps corresponding to the 'X' in the fingerprint.

This may or may not be accurate, but interesting if it is. Could there be a squirrel hole with another map piece?

OK so my first reaction to the new fax was--PM adapted to our off-the-wall prediction. So, whatever the bizarre logic, we're on the hunt in Central Park.

Second reaction--but...the old fax and new fax BOTH work to set the NY location!?

Final reaction--HOW the HECK did we get this one so quick? It goes past collective intelligence to a kind of psychic geek hive--it's creepy. Let's work on how to turn Wall Street around ferchrissakes.

This is from Chuck's Twitter. It was posted a few days after the initial dream that lead us to the Gratitude Cafe but a totally different dream. Is there a table in the courts in Central Park that may have the next piece under it? Has anyone noticed this before?

I think that may be in regards to our first unsuccessful trip to the cafe ... we may have had the wrong table, or the piece may have already been removed. It was Chuck trying to get us back on track. Swell guy that Chuck Smile

Yeah, that was about the time we couldn't decide if the drop really was at Gratitude, and if it was, if it was really under the table. Then we get the "it went under the table, so i got it from under the table, because it was under the table". Turns out it was under the table after all.

I paid a visit to the court in question on the way to school today and it is without a doubt the same as in the video. However, I didn't really see any place for a drop to be made unless it were taped under a bench or behind the backboard.

Thanks for going be there and scounting!

As the last was found taped under a table it wouldn't be unusual for this method to be employed again.

Looks like we finally have our date and time. I'm gonna give it my best effort to be there, even if New York isn't exactly local. We should establish some kind of basic uniform. Red t-shirts maybe, or perhaps some Cool Dog glasses?
