Got the toy in and delivered! OK...I will try and be reasonable...but seriously...I would send this POS back if it wasn't what it was. Cloverfield is awesome, and I am proud to have it as the American Godzilla, the design of the creature is great and the story is good to but this toy isn't worth 20$, period.
CONS
*The joints are so stiff that they grind themselves, damaging them whenever you move them!
*They didn't even try to make it look good, as a matter of fact it looks the opposite. The torso is a cheap plastic white color as is the head. But the rest of the toy is a dirty white color, which actually looks good...as long as it IS NOT ACCOMPANIED BY A CHEAP PLASTICEY WHITE COLOR!!! Sheesh...All of the screws are uncapped and just plain eyesores. You can see all of the plastic seems and welds from outer-space.
*All of the joints are highly visible with impossible wide gaps visible especially where the arms connect to the torso.
*The tail is just sitting their ready to fall off, its not even really connected as is the same problem with the rest of the joints, they are flimsy and loose.
PROS
*The one sound it makes is very clear and good in quality, and it does come with batteries installed
*The plastic that is used on the toy is about a 7 out of 10 on the toughness scale. Pretty good, and durable I am sure.
*A very few of the details are nice, most are terrible and miss colored, but those that are decent are actually pretty good!
*The parasites and Statue head are well detailed(Parasites are not colored or articulated)
*It IS well articulated even thought the points are such severe eyesores it makes mine BLEED, the articulation is something to be proud of.
All in all it is Cool because it IS CLOVERFIELD. But hells bells....
Would I buy it again if I had a spare 100$ laying around, TBH, yes. Because it is a model of the monster and it is a collectible.
I would rate the quality of the figure itself a honest 7.5 out of 10 if it was priced as it should be(20-30 bucks) But for 100 freaking dollars? This a-hole gets a 2 out of 10....Its like they were snorting crack on the assembly line when they put this one together...sheesh...

Sounds like a typical mass-produced commodity.

Better Than Expected I read your review right before opening mine, so I had low expectations. I'm pretty happy with it. Sure, it's not perfect, but I've been collecting action figures for so long this was about dead-on with what I expected. You can argue over the $100 price tag, but ultimately you're paying more for the higher feature to volume ration than anything.

Unfortunately the camera decided to stop functioning last week, so unless I can get a hold of another camera, I won't be able to post any. Sorry.

Lol no clue, I was dang tired Yesterday! I guess I got it in without Hasbro screwing up like sending 20 of them all to my house O.o
I make my reviews pessimistic just for the fact that if you rip into the box thinking the worst, you will not be disappointed but happy with it

Thanks! Yeah it's pretty damn cool. I can't wait to have room at home to display him!!!
I'm a big nerd so I'm probably going to build a little city block with military and screaming pedestrians for him to play around in!

camera + clovey toy + modeled city = sequal!
And from the pics it does look like they missed the 'grime/dirt' layer of paint application on the torso and head. Looks like MGP may need some loving touchups.

I got mine a couple of days ago....and it is sweet!
I messed around posing it in different positions...and realized the pics in that link above (and on the Hasbro website) don't match the movie.
The creature usually walked on its knuckles (of the front legs), not with its toes straight out.
Also, the rear feet should have the toes pointing backwards.
I wish I could post some pics, but my phone camera is jank.
