Power of social networking: Lifesaving

Hi people,

this topic has nothing to do with ARGs, but it has to do with online teamwork saving lifes.

doctor_liza, a Russian doctor who writes about her life, posted yesterday an alarming message in her blog: she found an person, who had problems with memory and could only recall his own name and birthday. Without futher informations he could be lost or become homeless.

She asked her readers for help to find his relatives.

People used online maps, local communities, hotlines and search engines.

So next day after intense group collaboration they found the son of this man, contacted him and now everything seems to be OK.

The whole communication is in Russian, but I found this real time teamwork really great.

Here is her blog: http://doctor-liza.livejournal.com/287305.html
