Photo

Thoughts on the photo.

Someone mentioned that the tag for the photo mentioned something about DISTANCE (I can't find the tag, so I can't check).
So...
The bottom line of the photo could be - times (ie multiplied by) light (speed of??) divided by distance (from the tag)

Could it be part of an equation? I have no idea what the key bit is.

Just throwing these ideas out. They seemed quite clever when I was falling asleep in the bath.

phone tap
my brain hurts a little

OK.
This is what I have managed to hear so far, or as definite as I can hope to be:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
- phone rings
- Hello?
- [unclear speech so far, but think he says 'brother' at the end']
- No, no sign either.
- Any luck on your end?
- What kind of [??????]
- Well, [............] at no interest at this time, particularly(?) at the hotel room, but I want the phone back ASAP.
- Indeed, yeah, of course.
- No, the bridging machine is working fine. It'll take a few more weeks to get the tunnelling back up and running. I have a message here for Raven/Reagan (?!?). All the books were moved to the old monastery archives when the library was converted. No, we're still looking for the monastery location.
- I will

Best of luck to anyone else!!

I've edited it as I hear it.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

- Hello

- in hoc signo vinces brother.

- No, no sign either.

- What kind of artifacts (this time)?

- Well, the sunglasses and pocket watch are of no interest at this time, (stick them in the) hotel room, but I want the phone (board / bought) back ASAP.

- Indeed, yeah, of course.

If there are 14 gold coins, 11 silver coins, 8 bronze coins and 2 stone coins down a hole, how many would you have to pull out to get two matching coins?

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I'll go with five. 14-11-8-2 doesn't seem to be the new blogspot, probably has some purpose?

ETA Values 79-47-29-50 aren't it.

I made a wiki: http://voynich.wikidot.com/

Added already a lot of information: Puzzles and Timeline are up to date.

Still missing infos on characters and organisations, blogposts are not copied, background infromation (references) as well as the overall story so far.

So if you want to contribute and fill the missing parts just join the site:

Here's my two cents on the coin riddle:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I think one need only pull two coins from the hole. Presumably one can tell by touch (texture, weight) that the stone coins are different by far than the metal coins. This is of course under the assuption that you can reach in with a bare hand.

Unless there's some really big gold coins down there Smile

Come to think of it, would "2 stone coins" weigh 28 lbs each? In that case I'll change my answer to four Sad

Answer to the riddle is 5. If there are 4 types of coin and you pick out 5 you would have to have at least two matching coins.

This is too complex for me to follow right now, unfortunately. I start Uni again tomorrow :/

Oh, that's pity... Don't leave us with time wrapped Templars alone.

I'm not following this, but I figure it's worth pointing out that the phrase "In Hoc Signo Vinces" was used by Paramount in the WHOIS registrations for "sectorseven.org" (Transformers ARG) and "1-18-2008.com" (Cloverfield AR-whatever), both of which have since been switched to Paramount Pictures.

New post. Wants to know how to bypass a magnetic lock.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Wikipedia says to disrupt the power supply. You think that'll be enough? I'll comment him, just to be on the safe side. He says he can't get in until night, but night's falling quickly over there right now.
