Yeah...by no means do I think this is dead nor do I want it to be. I just hate waiting for those last clues that we need. Being at the Central Park meetup made this all worth it and I couldn't stop caring even if I tried. Just a little push in the right direction from the PM's would be nice Very Happy

The clue for using M and #1 for the Morse signals was in the main video. The clues for the remaining decode are somewhere in the available material and the PM aren't going to budge while the puzzle remains unsolved.

there is nothing there, imho. that is why the pages were removed (for what it is worth). i agree that this is a frustrating time with the PMs (AGAIN). it looks as though this is NOT VIRAL, and will never be. the PM's appear to be amateurish, and any further effort will be a waste of time.

sorry, but "Bonus" and the lack of direction from the long awaited "map" are a huge let-down. this thing appears dead.

currently planning summer activities. taking a trip to California (SF). this ARG is quickly becoming an afterthought...

We're all of a week past the spectacular NY event, and already people are calling the game over, again! Before we've even fully solved the puzzles, no less! ARGh!

Look, on a certain level, I sympathise. If I were running an ARG, there would be some crumb of communication every day, even if it's just "flavor" that adds no clues and advances no puzzles. It wouldn't take more than a few seconds to have in-game Jagoda tell us what he's been eating, have Mars or Lipps relate how their day went at work, etc.

But my guess is there's perfectly good reasons for the deliberate pace. Maybe whatever comes next needs to happen on a certain day, and the PMs cant have us solve everything too far in advance. Who knows? All I know for sure if there were a lot of people pronouncing this dead circa Christmastime, and then Central Park happened. The game delivered.

(I Apologize for the off topic.)

Yes, I want to be sold something. If this is in fact a marketing scheme (which it's quickly looking like it's not) I would buy the product happily and be a fan for life. Not only have they invoked my home town, but they also provided a great story and a video I will never forget.

In the end, if it's an ARG just for the sake of it being an ARG, I wouldn't be interested and wouldn't have followed this far. There's no "pay-off" at the end of that for me. I don't live in SF or NY, so I will never get to take part in a live event, and I've got plenty of other activities to take up my free time.

It's been the constant wonder of what this is all for that has held my interest. Whether to sell me something, show me a movie, anything...

The fact this has failed to go viral worries me that this will never amount to anything.

The thing is, we don't know who has created this or why. We've never known. All we had was a rather amusing, almost satrical video and a phone number at the beginning.

I think TIMM has suffered from the worst luck in timing i've ever seen. This game hit the Holiday season, and no one wants to do anything during the Holidays...including the PMs, it seems. If this game started after the New Year, i think it would've came off better, imo.

musical notation

lurker posting lurker thoughts:

so while researching the piano and forte symbols, i found this wikipedia page regarding musical notation

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Modern_musical_symbols

and i noticed that the ' character is also there (a breath mark) and ff can mean "fortissimo" (louder than forte) so maybe this whole thing is some kind of musical notation. maybe the letters represent notes and the numbers represent time, and maybe the _ characters are blanks that we need to fill in, or perhaps there are other explanations for the symbols but i like this music idea

(and for what it's worth, i think all the Z/2 characters are 2s. I don't think any of them are Zs.)

pianos

The music idea is sound (And yes I did type that so everyone would groan). There's a symbol for 'piano' and the author works with pianos. It's got legs (piano legs). Very Happy

If you allow ff as a symbol then maybe all the letters could be groups of two. Does that lead to "forte piano" which makes no sense? - not here, we get one ff.

MM's and ff's. If they are grouped in twos does that do anything for the statistics?

That initial T just doesn't connect with music however Confused If it was just ABCDEFG that'd be great. But T?

The word I'd hope to form a pattern is ROTOR. Can't see a 12321 pattern. But that B2ff_ makes me think of lipps for some reason.

v shapes, groups of 3, etc

going back to the video for clues like bit T did in another thread, "groups of three" and "v formations" are mentioned, so is there some way to put these letters in groups of three, or read them in a v formation?

in the RPG sequence with the kids and the godseed fragment, the godseed fragments even look kind of like a P

unfortunately there are no Vs in the still unsolved page. Sad

piano

... unless it's T for Treble clef.

We're still stuck with H, M, and s (which looks deliberately lowercase).

What could those represent?

music and clues

i know i had suggested the music idea and it sounded good to me at the time, but my only problem with that now that i think about it is that there's nothing in the video or guidebook to connect it to, or that connects to this page.

the guidebook had the chart for the marsbook-7, and the "M #1" was in the video to relate to marsbook-9, but there are no musical symbols in anything else that we have, that would give us any clues.

if only there was a graph with a "forte" symbol in it somewhere, know what i mean?

the closest thing to a connection that i can think of now is that the godseed fragment in the RPG section of the video kind of looks like a p, but that's a pretty weak connection. especially since the prominently mentioned letter "V" isn't anywhere to be found on this page.

I'm fairly certain the G.o.D.S.E.E.D. fragments in the video are intended to look like Magatamas, not the letter "p". That specific design is what had me thinking about RPGs the first time I saw the video as the magatama is something from Japanese history/mythology that gets used in video games and anime frequently.

Well, there's the cello player and their celebrated medley "Hollywood Glitz".

Something on the program maybe?
