Regarding the Morse decoding:

please remember what we learned from the first decoded page and unencoded pages:

*Mars sometimes makes spelling errors

*Mars sometimes forgets to encode

Also, I want to assert that there MUST be a reason why she used "M" and "#1" as her dots and dashes. I suspect it's because somewhere in this code we are NOT supposed to translate it -- we are supposed to read them as they are written, as #1 or M. This trick showed up in the first coded entry.

Just lurking through, but does this fit?

-- ..- ... - -.. --- ... --- -- . - .... .. -. --.

Must do something

see, i'm wondering if this reasoning explains the slightly broken grammar in the message solution we have now. at any rate, i don't think this one holds the key to our next move. unless we are way off here, that is...

I sent her a wall message to see if she'll respond. Let's hope (and I agree, that sounds good!)

EDIT: I didn't mean to steal anyone's thunder - I apologize. I just thought that was the next logical step if that's the message.

Hmm, I guess going on the assumption that none of the morse code ran from one line to another wasn't the way to go, even though it worked for most of the puzzle. Oh well, another entry out of the way. Now we prolly just have to wait until we get the info needed to crack the last one.

i think the final thing to remember when stuck is to realize that Mars does not encode perfectly all the time. she makes mistakes (as Time Traveller pointed out, and we then realized at the very end of this one). the "d" instead of "i" in line three made all the difference this time. just think how many times the solution was overlooked here because of Mars' mistake with only one letter!

this curious little addition to the ciphers definitely makes things much more challenging and is a credit to the originality of thought of our PMs! anyway, something to bear in mind for future solves to be sure!

you're a tricky one, Marsy!

ALSO:

Any significance to the fact that Worker Power was the one that relayed the location of Mars' diary?

I think it's more likely that Mars somehow hid the cash on Worker, as the last four bills were "<3 MM".

But why did the Young Professionals have the diary?

I'm glad my "must" and my "something" turned out to be deciphered correctly. <3

Great work, team. Has anyone come up with any thoughts on the third cipher yet?

Some amateur postulations:

TRIUMVIRATE, if thats what MM means, is probably the business women? That would provide the link for them to her, since we have no idea how they would obtain her most secretive of posessions otherwise. MM could have gone out drinking with the 3 Businesses Women and Lipps LeRoux, who is obviously now out to get her in some way. They could all be in cohoots, to the point of kidnapping Marsie, or at the very least sneaking her diary to dig up dirt on her. Also, since that night they all went out drinking, it could explain the inconsistency of the code in that entry. It's pretty garbled. Would be a funny diversion for them to put drunk code in there!

About Worker leading ya'll to the Ice Cream shop, I think that specific linkage is insignificant. Him throwing up the money was just a result of being beaten. Your victorious BONUSing just led you to the next level in the game! The business women just happened to the be next clue/drop/meet up what ever we needed to get to keep moving! The whole video game/real life emulation is totally entertaining to me. :3

Just some thoughts since I'm worthless with the actual code deciphering!

This is far-fetched, but what if Mars and Lipps are two of the 3 Businesses Women?

That would certainly explain why they had the diary.

I guess it doesnt explain why Mars needs friends, though.

Also, I think the triumvirate is Chuck, Terry Nanny and Voltaire.

Mars is NOT one of the three businesswomen. Mars is a black girl, and didn't move to Milwaukee until long after the video was shot.

Triumvirate = Voltaire, Terry Nanny, and Chuck Jagoda.
-or-
Triumvirate = The three young professional women.

Both seem plausible, but I'm inclined to believe the first. Voltaire is the most mysterious character in the game, but is referenced as being of an extremely high power level, capable of super-human abilities, and most-likely is not even human at all due to his age. Chuck is some sort of an aristocrat since he mostly concerns himself with what's good to eat, and was invited to that weird meeting with Voltaire. Terry Nanny is said to be the most famous and unapproachable people around, and is in charge of Communications at MTC. These three characters make a very likely Triumvirate.

The Three Businesswomen show up in the video, are drawn in A Reasonable Haven, and then show up with Mars' Diary but never give away any detail on anything. However, they are a key focal point in TIMM. There are three of them, which could be a dead give-away about the Triumvirate, but I think that's too easy. I think it's possible that they are androids who's sole purpose is to represent Milwaukee as a good place for young professionals. This would fit since they seem to just laugh maniacally but don't do much else, and always walk arm in arm. It seems like it's supposed to be a programmed behavior. Then again, they were drinking the milkshake, and androids probably don't eat or drink.

If they ARE androids, then it would make sense that Mars found a way to sneak her message onto Worker and directed the Three Businesswomen to give her diary away to us. After all, Mars is mechanically inclined.

As stated at the CP Meetup by Joey, you can tell a cyborg because they don't eat or drink anything. <3
