That channel was found on chat-solutions, about an hour after the second caesar and texel incident. The key to it was "urchin", not very inventive. You can more or less see when I came in and what I saw and how I responded. I started digging deeper but was unable to verify if they were PMs or not.

Then the IRC server went down. This was just a freek occurance that I had nothing to do with. A side affect of this was the room #samatrix became un secret and unkeyed. When digging, I did a whois on texmp, and saw that room. I joined it and all hell broke loose.

They were jumping ship and quitting left and right. It was clear I was not supposed to be there. One of the main ringleaders appeared to be TheOxygen. He was telling everyone to get out. Incedently, he is the same person as ondernas in the logs.

They then asked me to join another secret channel, and talk with them. TheOxygen spoke for them. He informed me that I would be allowed to ask them three questions and then they would ask me one. The three questons I asked were "Are you PM's or running the game?", they answered in the negitive. Then I asked them why they were running the caesar and texel scam. They claimed that they were ahead of us in the game, and were simply bored, waiting for us to catch up. They wanted to give us some hints. My third question related to how far they had "infiltrated" us, and they told me they did nothing but watch in #matrix and on the boards.

After this, I told them in no uncertin terms that they were to never atempt something like that again. I would see to it that they would be banned from the rooms and boards and never welcome back. They decided at this point that I was not receptive enough to their plans, and decided not to ask me their question.

Since then, I have been attempting to dispell their charade, and trying to get people back on track. Once the logs were found, I private messaged TheOxygen and demanded that he show me exactly how he was helping to move the game forward. I would then come clean about the whole thing, but support their intel, if not their methods. They atempted to say that they were only pointing us to "/stairs/", but not to the partiular files (as they did not exist yet). I was told about the poultry angle " As far as poultry goes. Well, we *do* have a fair amount of pranksters in our group, nature of the beast, if you know what I mean."

It is my beleif that they were full of bull all along. I will attach my logs for reference.

Figured it was all BS from the beginning. If they were really the Wachowskis, or actors hired by them to do this publicity stunt, you would think they would have more consistent spelling and everything would be moderated through IPs that are more relevant to the case, to keep them "in character".

Heh, I knew they were fake after the first pairs of lines in that transcript. I had the pleasure of running into a guy calling himself tuxmp a few years ago. So I figured that'd be him, and I think I was right... and as far as I know he's younger than me (I'm nearly 18...)

I don't see the logic that these guys are "so far" ahead of the pack in uncovering information. From Anthrax's logs, it's fairly evident that the information posted was posted by them (as some excuse for PMs) because of the interval between posting and recovery by the bulk of us. The only other option makes no sense: that they created sites to post the material they harvested from the "real" ARG. And they seem sufficiently wankish (not to mention not terribly intelligent or covert) to explain the utterly random nature of clues and lack of a central plot to the game.

Now, I'm no ARG-er, but I do have a history in RPGs. The big concept in the RPG is the NPC: non-player character. I'm hesitant to write this whole experience off as a bad pipe-dream, just in case these guys turn out to be, if not ceasar etc. a bunch of NPCs: they might not be the PMs running the game, but they may well turn out to be footsoldiers, as it were; giving the PMs a degree of separation from us poor fools.

Just another side of the coin.
