Hehehe, applied for my module. Used a half-truth:

A friend of mine is an avid programmer who is interested in getting started in robotics. As I have access to lots of random hardware bits (my dad works for a company that makes computers), we want to work together to start making robots. If we got one of your robots, we could speed up our own learning and creation.

(my friend being a programmer is the truth. Me having access to mechanics is not Razz)

Well, I submitted a newsletter/job application and sent in an essay asking for a module. I've lurked a few ARGs in the past, but this is the first one I've ever gotten into at the beginning. Hopefully this is high-quality and actually goes somewhere!

On our Terminator forum, some members have gotten their packages. Pics: http://www.terminatorfiles.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=2925&start=60

I think it has something to do with that errors. Damn it! Does someone how to fix this?

What browser (and version) are you using ?
If you are using Firefox I recommend updating it to v.2.x.x or later, and installing the Firebug add-on. That way you should be able to get more info on the error (and possibly resolve the issue, or report it to the people behind skynet)

Internet explorer 7

Darn cool - and quite speedy delivery! I'll check my mail box just in case.

Hmm.. yeah when I get to skynetresearch with IE7 I get a pop-up error box ("A Runtime Error has occurred. Do you wish to Debug? Line 114: Error: Object expected"). This might or might not appear for you depending on your IE7 settings iirc.

I think that's the same error I see when using Firefox w/ Firebug ('xcept Firefox doesn't pop-up an obnoxious and ugly error box), regarding an undefined object that some bad developer decided to name 'thisthing'.

Sorry I can't spot why in IE7 the password field doesn't show up after a cursory analysis.
For now.. try and use Firefox (or IE8 ?). If I have time I'll take another look later and see if I can find a way for IE7 to work around the issue.

I received mine yesterday. It's pretty dang cool if you ask me. I really like the "DO NOT BE ALARMED" statements at the end of almost every paragraph.

I live here in good ol' Germany, so I think if I get one, it takes some more days.

When did the people that submitted module request do it? Because that might give us an idea how long it takes. Seems to be a pretty speedy delivery though. Here's hoping I get one so that I can FINALLY take ove-....umm nevermind.

I received a module 101 myself today.
I had requested it on Feb 13.
I'd write down the text from the 'instruction page' that comes with it but that's a lot of typing and right now I'm too busy trying to figure out how to make a robotic device for my cat so that I can enhance it with the module 101.

Of interest, the instruction page (on the 'out of character' side) says

So, we should see more developments coming up. Cool !

There's a video here of someone opening the box. That's not me, but I got the same box labelled Skynet Research, same pallets in it, etc etc..

Note to self: As unbelievable as it might seem, http://www.cyberdyne.jp/english/ is an actual company, not an in-game site; don't let the game excitement drive you insane.
