I can go to Forbidden Planet, in NYC, either tomorrow or Monday.

Went to Big Brother Comics in Sacramento.

Basically the only thing they had there was the camera featured on the video that's pointing towards the door. I asked the employee there and he said that it is a prop and it's supposed to just generate interest for the new movie. I asked him if there's anything more and he said no. He only had contact with the representative of the campaign twice but there might be more in the future. He did know that having the prop there listed the store at the SR website and he thought it was cool we found him through there. He asked me what an ARG is, I explained it, and after buying a couple of Sandman volumes for my collection I left.

So it doesn't look like it's anything other than a prop placed in stores around the country to generate interest that leads back to the SR website. Perhaps they will be used for something else in the future but for now this is what I got at the store.

You didn't wait around for a guy looking like John Connor walks in the front door and suddenly gets vaporized by a beam from the camera?

Some field agent you are... Rolling Eyes

Actually I did politely wait for their discussion on Magic: The Gathering to finish while I was browing some books. That did take a fair amount of time since apparently someone had a cool card that did something amazing apparently and it cost $30 just for that card. Haven't really touched M;tG since 1994 so I was quite lost. But no John Conner...

And you can ask the EE folks about my agent skillz! Wink

So you're saying they're making a Terminator card game ?

I know I submitted one to be sent to my home and one sent to work. All i want is one. I also went to two comic shops here in Phoenix. Samurai Comics and also Atomic Comics. Some of the employees thought it was real, I had to let them down by telling them it wasn't. They didn't have any idea of the Cameras Management Website either as seen in the first video. I took some small videos inside of the store and camera and uploaded them to the site. So I hope they put them up. I also became a fan of Skynet Research on Facebook. Dustin C.

Did they email you beforehand, to tell you that you were getting one? Or did it just show up in your mailbox?

No email, just showed up. I requested it on the Feb. 13th, so it took awhile.

Don't lose hope. Mine shipped from New York City on Feb 19 and got to me in Harrisburg PA on the 21st. (Requested it on the 14th) The letter kinda lead on that anyone that want's one will get one.

If anyone would want to see the innards of the "module" I'd would post pictures.

(Also, this is my first piece of ARG swag. Yah!)

enhancement module

got the enhancement module in the mail today!!! yay swag. if anyone is interested in pictures or scans of the paperwork included with the thing (not that you can't find that stuff all over the internet) i'll slap 'em up.

i think i am going to take this into work and slap it up on a respirator, film it, and submit it to the robot community. THAT will be fun.

Boss: "des, what are you doing."
Me: "um... "

Got mine in the mail today as well. Cute little device. My box looked exactly like the ones featured in videos to-date. If I get time this evening, I will be firing off an email to Skynet research thanking them for including me in the beta test, describing my plans (original plan was to connect to a 3D printer, claiming lack of funds, I will be integrating my module with a RoboRaptor) and probably dropping a ROT 13 section (carefully disguised as a cryptographic signature) with an OOG suggestion that they hit up the nice folks at Sarcos and Boston Dynamics. It would do their viral campaign good to get videos of their little module blinking away on real-life powered armor and a high-speed quadrupedal pack-bot, respectively. I can't imagine that there aren't Terminator fans in both offices who would be able to get clearance to play this game a little)
