It won't stop. It stays like that.
I've reinstalled the DCP 2 times. Still the same.

That sucks, I entered in the code like 5 minutes early, tops (although my comp said it was 10) and now I can't see whatever goes down.

Bummer.

Confused

Nothing goes down on the DCP. What happens in the DCP is the result of the code. Anything else is going to be in the ARG sites. Now we wait until tomorrow @ 1pm.

Thanks, that was the impression I got but I kinda thought there would be more considering the way ResistOrBeTerminated talked up the code today. Ah well, I'll have to try again tomorrow at 1 and see what happens. Funny thing is I'm about to go see the movie.

Maybe I'll take my enhancement module with me and see if it tries to wreak any havoc... Razz

Has anyone else noticed that the Skynetresearch.com page has a big red "Recalculating" across it's screen?

I entered just after 7 and got the same message. I'm sure it's what everyone gets from entering the password.

Just got back from the film. It wasn't nearly as awful as Rotten Tomatoes led me to believe it would be. It still didn't come close to T1 or T2, but it was miles better than T3 and maintained continuity with the other films excellently.

I can't wait to see what happens tomorrow at 1 PM !

Possibly to promote the new movie, AMC played T3 earlier and after watching it again I don't think it's too terrible. I still didn't like how Connor is so whiny through the film, but it's still entertaining. I'll be seeing T4 tomorrow night.

On a side note, I find it interesting that Pandora's "Machine Radio" - or as I think of it as "Skynet Radio" since it chooses all of the songs I listen to and I can't choose which ones I like and don't like - actually plays all the songs I enjoy. Thanks Skynet for deciding which music I wanna hear; you make life so much better for me. Wink

You know, I didn't think T3 was so bad. I mean, yeah, it wasn't something that will be viewed as a classic in 10 years like T1 and T2, but it was entertaining. More brainless than the other movies, but entertaining.

Of course, it's hard to match the complete f**king WIN that is T2, but hey, not every movie can have a scene where the main character's flesh is blown off the bones of her screaming skeleton by a nuclear blast.

...I need to watch that movie again.

All that hacking seems to work.

The latest Skynet tweet:

The binary means 'extinction' ...

Hey, the DCP is back up again. With a new message in the corner.

Resistance: Congratulations are due. Thank you for never giving up. Another victory has been secured.

I was expecting something more, but cool either way I suppose. Guess that's the end of this ARG? Sad

No idea. I'm booting up the DCP in a few. It's just 1pm here.

EDIT1: The Data in the DCP has changed. It seems more Resistance-like data.

EDIT2: I'm gonna give the DCP some wait until 2pm, just in case. I can't shake the feeling that Skynet's up to something here...

I thought maybe the message was from Skynet, and it was saying we had secured another victory for it.

Yeah, me too. That's why I'm staying put to the sites. Maybe something happens. Or maybe, this will be the most anticlimactic end to an ARG I've played.

Some of the phrases in the DCP have changed in the "communication" analysis section in addition to the obvious color change. From it's log, it's still accepting the password but I don't know that it's doing anything other than making sure you have the new DCP.

I had questions about "overloading" Skynet anyway. How can you overload a distributed computing system? Overloading a single server can be done because you can exhaust it's resources, but if you think of a server farm it would just hand the load off to more machines.
