I also have an eerie feeling we may have just screwed the pooch, so to speak. Skynet is not feeling the brunt of this. It is "recalculating". We may very well have just sealed our own fate without knowing. I have a strange feeling we are being targeted for termination, even more precisely because we did this.

I also think the DCP hack by the Resistance just put fuel on the fire for Skynet. I don't know how it will come about, but prepare to bend over.....

I can't help but wonder if the Resistance was duped in to giving away every position of every person involved in the Resistance.

 		Did get this email, was in my spam folder

Less than 24 hours ago, the Resistance kicked metal ass and sent the Skynet DCP through the trash compactor.

Like an electrical surge triggering a network of power outages, hacking the DCP in turn generated breakage in the Skynet website. If you visit their home now you see a large "RECALCULATING" message staring back at you. The metal beast is broken and in shambles.



But before you walk away, consider this. We have won this battle, but the war is still ongoing. The machines are down but not out. Does Skynet still lay in wait for us? The wound we have inflicted may not be as sizable as we think. Here's the real question. What does the cold binary brain of Skynet think about as it recalculates?

Commitment and communication remain constants for us. Avoid the blindness induced from the euphoria of victory. Continue to use the Tactical Simulator and the forums for updates. We'll keep ResistOrBeTerminated running and updated with the latest news and info.

You are not alone. If you're reading this, you are the Resistance.

 		I hate to point out the obvious, but let's think of Skynet in terms of a real enemy, and a true AI living on the net. All of the intel and communications about what was going to happen took place on the internet, in plain text. It knew everything we knew, it knew everything that was said, knew everything that was planned.

Remember the slowdown in the DCP just before the code was released? Since Skynet knew the code, it could have redesigned the DCP to make it appear that it was disabled, and instead used the code as a means of identifying who the members of the resistance are.

I agree with that, but for the sake of the ARG, I'm willing to overlook it.

I mean, honestly, what can't be accessed somewhere on the internet, given the appropriate authorization? Following that line of logic, the only way to mount any kind of SECURE offensive against something like Skynet, would be to coordinate strictly through face-to-face and snail mail.

...Do you have any idea how difficult it would be to put together an ARG that focused solely on those two forms or coordination? lol.

I felt that might happen with the DCP.
