It's a bit creepy that such a company even existed back in 1994, considering Terminator had been released 10 years before, and T2 Judgment Day had been released 3 years before. Was that someone's idea of a sense of humor? Did Orion Pictures or MGM trademark the name, then get to them for infringement?

Meanwhile, we wait...

Possible connection?

I dunno if this site was covered in another game but I was curious if anyone has seen it. Could there be a connection or is it a coincidence? I did notice through some searching that the systems administrator listed seems to work for disney in some capacity. He also has lots of links through his "profile" but most seem to be regarding his personal life. I'm not sure if the cyberdyne site is even relevant here but who knows till it is checked out.

I think I may take a step into this, if something does come of it that is. Been a while since I was in this forum. Good to be back! Smile

looking at the whois and the content of the site tells me that it's unrelated. the site's registration info is totally different than what was listed on skynetresearch.com. much of the info even dates back as far as 2000.

as for whether it was used for an ARG or is for one, i don't believe it's been covered before and the content of the site makes me pretty skeptical at the possibility of it being connected to an ARG.

Agreed. It almost seems too low quality to be an ARG website.

Am I just not up-to-date, or has the site updated?

You're right - there's way more than there was when I signed up a while back...

EDIT: The sign-up procedure is way different, colour blindness tests etc - plus, I applied to beta test an Enhancement Module! This is all very cool.

I did, although it's easy if you already have a sample of text copied. Then simply paste it onto the screen. Wink Yes, I cheat.

Ditto - not good enough with L33T to have done that BUT I did happen upon a little 'workaround'

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
you can type in as much as possible within 10 seconds, hit back on your browser, then forward, whatever you typed will still be there and the clock will have reset to 10 seconds. Perfick.

May I also reccomend copy-n-paste as a mean to pass that 'test' ?
As indicated, Natas had already suggested this. Darn monitor is not tall enough Sad Sorry

Anyone has a Japanese skill of 9+ ?
Need to get this video translated: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZaNT6GntpHQ

Fromt he Skynet Research page there's a 'news ticker' at the bottom, linking to this interesting story:
http://www.edmondsun.com/schools/local_story_012233056.html?keyword=secondarystory

And I requested a module.. we'll see if they send one Very Happy

Think Natas already prescribed that particular remedy...
