As far as I can tell "It's Coming" is the only blatantly "anti-US" poster. The hand is the American flag. If you look closely, the base of the arm would be where the US is and the arrow is overtaking Europe and western Asia.

So that begs the question, which side was Natasha really working for? The posters could have been pure studies in Cold War era Soviet Union propaganda. Or her continuing views which might suggest that she was allied with "insert evil Russian group here." (Of course then, there'd really be no reason for her to be leaving codes in her artwork, so I guess it's just something to think about.)

Unfortunately, for book-page-paragraph-letter codes, you need to make sure that you have the EXACT same printing edition of the person that wrote the code. Since each printing can be different, the page to content may not always be the same.

That thing that Emily said still bothers me quite a bit. She kept saying "everything's intolerable", which is a quote from a man who just so happened to have written a book that is hidden inside a painting by Natasha. And then when we found the hex code she acted all surprised like she had no idea Yakovlev had anything to do with anything.

I don't trust it, and I don't especially trust Emily.

Sorry for the double post, but I've been reading up on Yakovlev. Bear with me a minute here.

Natasha's father died when she was a "little girl". Due to how old she was when she died, I'd estimate her being a "little girl" to be around the late 1980s.

Perestroika was started June of 1987. According to the Amazon description of "A Century of Violence in Soviet Russia", "Alexander Yakovlev played a unique role in the transformation of the Soviet Union that led to its collapse in 1991. It was he who developed the concept of perestroika and persuaded Gorbachev to pursue it, despite the cataclysmic though deeply desired changes he knew would ensue."

And now we find a code that brings us to Yakovlevs book, amongst posters supposedly inspired by Natasha's fathers death. Everything seems to fit... But I don't quite know what it means.

P.S. Several friends of mine are now interested in helping us. One of them has a good idea with the binary code and is trying to work something out right now.

So, I spent the morning on GoogleEarth checking out any information I could find around the proper coordinates Mir-12 released. Other than a few pictures of beaches that look a little like the one Adam Scotts was filming on, and a US radar installation nearby (Cobra Dane), I got nada.

Oh, and that part of the ocean registers as -12,833 ft. and the surrounding areas are just as deep, which on a META note means there's no way in hell that an island could ever have been there unless it floats. Or was Atlantis.
