Choose Your Surrogate - Virtual Self Industries

New viral website for Bruce Willis' new movie coming out in September: "Surrogates": http://www.chooseyoursurrogate.com/

Nothing too interesting on the site as of now other than you can register for the 2009 surrogates but you can't register as of now. You can also make your own "surrogate" by uploading your pictures and changing face styles, guess we'll see what comes of this.

From slashfilm:

Quote:
Bruce Willis stars as an FBI Agent who is sent to investigate the mysterious murder of a college student linked to the man who helped create a high-tech surrogate phenomenon that allows people to purchase unflawed robotic versions of themselves—fit, good looking remotely controlled machines that ultimately assume their life roles—enabling people to experience life vicariously from the comfort and safety of their own homes. The murder spawns a quest for answers: in a world of masks, who's real and who can you trust?

Cool idea behind the film. I'll have to keep an eye on this site.

Definitely an interesting concept for a movie. I guess it's a wait and see right now.

I got a trailhead about this via email so I went to the site. I clicked on an external link that took me to a Paramount Pictures site. When I went back to the "game" site though it looked completely white and the flash was not playing at all.

Anyways, I'll check again to see if it was just me. I'm in regardless.

not really sure if this is going anywhere.. the link for "Register for 2009 Surrogates" is working now, but just takes you to a clearly Touchstone Pictures website to register for updates, i signed up will see if anything comes of it

edit: just watched the 3D Tour, makes me think they are putting some time into it..
