We don't trust anyone because we're smart and are wary of impersonators.

And yet small children break into your strongholds and escape with weaponry. Wink

Thank you for reason number 6, Wind Lane. Wink

Lucians wiil fail because they leave their weapons arsenal room unlocked since the Lucians are so confident that their security system will keep out and catch any intruders/thieves.

Reason 4 why we Ekats will win:
At least we actually HAVE strongholds that have good security systems and succeed in keeping out intruders.

Example:Bermuda Triangle

Reason 5 why we brilliant Ekats will win:
We have many more methods of killing our enemies rather than just poison.

Example: Nuclear bomb, pool of hydrochloric acid, making people "disappear".... You name it! Very Happy

I agree. It's definitely more of a spy style thing to cause people to vanish.

Which means the Mofia is likely staffed with Lucians as well. Wink

The Ekats on the other hand would be more about making their enemies look foolish and stupid. A great example would be Bill Gates. Go ahead and find out if anybody gets away with trying to do anything to him anymore. Cool

Ekats will win proof #6:
Arrow We keep an eye on our clues and we don't let anybody get near it.

Examples: Nessie- Phosphorus, Bermuda Triangle- Uranium

not like :
Lucians- didn't know about Iron solute.
Janus- Lost track of the King Cobra Venom.

Well, when i said thet Ekats could make people "disappear", i was talking about how Ekats can make plane and ships vanish in the Bermuda Triangle.

Fantastic glalieguy! Laughing That means reason 7 why Lucians will fail is that they lose track of their clues and dont even let their kin know about the clues they had.

Example: Benjamin Franklin, instead of telling his kin about his clue, he left a series of clues instead.

Reason 3 why the Janus will fail is the same as reason 7 above.

New reasons why the Ekats will win:

1. We won the big prize in this round of the 39 Clues contest.

2. We had more winners in this round of the contest than any two of the other branches combined.

And, for those who'd like to see the numbers, it breaks down like this:

Of the 63 available prize spots

27 went to Ekats including the $1,000 Episode prize with a grand total of $2,600 won.
15 went to Janus' including the $500 Book prize and the $250 Mission prize with a grand total of $2,000 won.
11 went to Lucians with a grand total of $1,750 won.
9 went to Tomas' with a grand total of $1,000 won.
1 prize still being verified - unknown as to what branch this will go to right now - worth $50.

These seem like pretty good indicators of just who's the better clue hunter and who'll win it all. Twisted Evil

In Defense Of Lucians

People say we lose sight of what's important. There's no historical precedent for that. Napoleon did complete his mission, despite delaying some procedings, and Benjamin Franklin even managed to successfully hide a Clue without guidance from leadership when they became corrupted. As for being infiltrated by children, notice they acquired no vital information; that stronghold was a decoy. Also, we rarely have any major internal feuds. Most "fighting" is proper protocol. It is important to meet other agents prepared for attack, and being incapacitated at the conclusion is to be expected for security reasons, though it can put you in an unfortunately subordinate position.

That's a good theory except for 1 flaw. only 3 of those prizes were skill based. The rest were sweepstakes.

Correction, only the book prizes were pure drawings. The Episode prize is a culmination of everything. And the Mission prize includes things like your score in the mini-game in the mission.

Yes the episode prizes are skill-based but only 3 of them were awarded. And the mission prizes were a sweepstakes.
Quote:
The winners will be chosen in a random drawing from among all eligible entries received. The random drawing will take place on or about January 2, 2009

Nessie = Paul Addison = Tomas knows your secret, as does everyone else who did Mission #2

Phosphorus = Lucian Clue (possible Clue is vial taken back by Ian)

Bermuda Triangle = Who says it won't be, we have only read 2 books

Thank you Wind Lane for reasons 7 and 8. Now i will finish the list with the reasons 9 and 10 why we Ekats will win.

Reason 9:
We know how to get rich quickly. Shortage of money in this hunt is no problem to us.
Example: Bill Gates is the richest man in the world just by selling Windows and other software.

Reason 10:
Since Bill Gates is an Ekat, invented Windows and most of the world uses Windows, hacking into the other branches computer database is almost too easy.

And for the bonus reason.....

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
We finished our list first! Ekats will prevail!!!
