Arrow We keep an eye on our clues and we don't let anybody get near it.

Examples: Nessie- Phosphorus, Bermuda Triangle- Uranium

not like :
Lucians- didn't know about Iron solute.
Janus- Lost track of the King Cobra Venom.

Nessie = Paul Addison = Tomas knows your secret, as does everyone else who did Mission #2

Phosphorus = Lucian Clue (possible Clue is vial taken back by Ian)

Bermuda Triangle = Who says it won't be, we have only read 2 books

Ummm..... Paul Addison got CLOSE to knowing the clue. (P.S. it was MISSION 1.)

and for the Iron solute I meant when Franklin hid it.

for Uranium, it is delivered to the Bermuda triangle. Then, if you check the stolen archive #29, it says.....

Quote:
SUSPECTED LOCATION, EKAT STRONGHOLD.
(TOO BAD NOBODY CAN GET NEAR IT.)

Reason 10:
Since Bill Gates is an Ekat, invented Windows and most of the world uses Windows, hacking into the other branches computer database is almost too easy.

And for the bonus reason.....

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
We finished our list first! Ekats will prevail!!!

Ummm.... our only Ekat rep in the 39 clues hunt (well, in the book anyway) is broke. It clearly states in MoB and Secret Archives #22.

I feel so backstab-y. Sad

Anyway, while I'm at it....

Tomas will fail reason:
Tomas are too risky and might kill their allies for "fun"..... Examples: Holts- Locked Raegan in a fort in India, hung Raegan out of a window for lifting spirits, strangles each other in really high cliffs.

UNITY!!!
I don't see anyone making up reasons why the branches should work together.I'll provide some.

REASON 1: Ok, a lot of you say that the Tomases(no offense meant) are dumb. So the Ekats should really work with them to make up for, you know, the brains department, as well as have a little extra.
REASON 2:The Ekats rely too much on machines and their inventions, so the Tomas should be around to augment their muscle department and teach them that a real sense of success is from true, physical labor.
REASON 3:The Janus are too protective of their artworks. The Lucians should be around to ease off that overprotectiveness and teach them to be indifferent. I mean, you can't go around risking your branch's future because of a Picasso being filched from your wall. Artwork might be irreplaceable, yes, but the next generations will surely create masterpieces that can perhaps outshine those of history's greates talents. Whereareas in a contest like the 39 clues, you only get 1 chance.Take it or leave it.
REASON 4:Lucians, however, are too indifferent and overconfident. The Januses should really show these guys how to be more careful. Like Ian Kabra says, "Overconfidence is a curse."

That's a really good idea. Except how are we going to get the branches (esp. Ekat-Tomas) to meet without killing each other? Twisted Evil

I've got it! We'll hold a contest and invite members from all four branches and we'll have the thing get successively more difficult as it goes along so that the contestants are forced to work together to get to the end. That way, by the finish they'll all be so reliant on covering for each other's weaknesses with their own strengths that it ends up as one team instead of several!!!

The preceding bit of sarcasm was brought by the letter C and the number 4.

We'll have to discover the reasons and secrets behind why the branches drifted apart(aside from the sibling thing). There must have been some kind of quarrel or something to that effect. If we discover it, then surely we'll find a way to get around it and bridge the differences?

From TST:

Quote:
"After the fire of 1507, Thomas and Kate fled Ireland for England, smuggling components of Gideon's work - which they vowed to continue. Thomas married and had a family but began neglecting her sister and their mission. The angry Katherine ran away, taking something of such importance that Thomas left everything to chase for her. After trying Paris, Venice, and Cairo, Thomas gave up. Attracted to the rough samurai culture, he settled in Japan, assuning a modest lifestyle. His youngest son, Hiyoshimaru, grew up to be Toyotomo Hideyoshi."

To sum things up, After Gideon died(or was killed), Kate and Thomas tried to continue his work. Thomas got married, he started to ignore Kate. Kate got mad, left, and took a really important clue with her. Thomas chased after her, but can't find her. He settled in Japan, where he wed and became the dad of the Bald Rat.

Uh, Tomas married twice?????

...anyway, there must be something more than that. SOmething not generally well-known...

Or maybe I'm just plain crazy Very Happy

But I noticed, what happened to Luke and Jane? Did they just fall off the face of the Earth.

Oh, and btw:

REASON 5: If the branches keep on stealing clues from each other, they're never gonna assemble all 39. So they have to collaborate in order to collect all of the Clues involved.

We'll soon find out the 'real' reason of the branch rivalry between Tomases and Ekats in Book 4. It says so in the synopsis. I t is also hinted that the Ekats very ingeniously stole a clue from the Tomases... Twisted Evil

I guess Thomas married twice. He left everything to look for Kate.

Apparently, Jane went to London(don't know how the stronghold got to Venice) because of the fire. Guess she salvaged some stuff from Gideon's work too. I have no idea what happened to Luke.

Curious....her spirit was burned....like in the mural or card picture we've got part of?

This also makes me wonder....isn't it interesting that an artist is trying to help out with something that can make you the most powerful person on the planet? But then I started thinking about how people with a whole lot of imagination came up with things like rockets to the moon, flip phones, and voice recognition software all well before it was invented. Our dreamers often imagine things that scientists then figure out how to make real.

EG: leonardo da Vinci, great thinker and probable EKAT, thought of the plane, sub, and many other things.

Rember this was before enginins, electricity, 1700s (I think) and no unfiction, no phones, it was just his mind and a piece of paper.

Oh, and did i mention???

Absolute genius.

Nope. Leo was a Janus because he thought of these things with his janus creativity.
