Blog automatically translated from Dutch by Google: Link.

Also, welcome to all the new members! Very Happy

As for the spoiler tags, they're generally reserved for solves of puzzles or things that were hidden by the PMs. The hidden message from the myspace blog is a great example. But the whole blog doesn't necessarily need to be spoilered since it's already publicly viewable by everyone. Hope that helps a little.

Also, comments were added to the initial post on the Adam Perry blog, by 'Secret' and by 'Dante' ( !!! )

Sounds intriguing, doesn't it?
'Secret' seems to be TSO, they've got a blog set up, but it's empty. Strangely enough, it's also in Dutch. 'Dante''s profile isn't public. Sad

As for the language, I'm not an expert on Dutch, but I think it just says that there are no posts available.

(I'll leave those annoying spoiler thingies off everything Adam Perry now, k?)

Edit: Thanks for the welcome!

The critical info, I think, is that the new blog post includes an image which we might need in the future: http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_-nr4RH6fRq4/SZHl5og63dI/AAAAAAAAAAU/JmpfZ55x6A4/s1600-h/Codex.jpg (nice name for the image.. nice name)

And... [speculation]perhaps Dante is the guy from the future, so he won't have a profile for a while ?[/speculation]

Cast of characters so far:
TSO = The Secret Organization =?= Secret
EYE
Dante

Is is just me, or does the head of that thing in the image look remarkably like the skull-like background of the Contact E.Y.E. video?

Also, there's also the mirroring of image elements like in E.Y.E.'s first vid.

Anyone know how to run stegdetect on it? Complete N00b here.

Apparently, there's something else called the Croatoan Virus on the show Supernatural (episode recap). Does anyone actually watch the show who could tell us if any of the other themes fit?

On a [Meta] note: historians who researched the lost Roanoke Island colony have all come to the conclusion that it was just a bunch of hype. The post on the Adam F.H. Perry blog comes straight off of wikipedia and just happens to leave out the part that explains the so-called "mysterious" disappearances. Here's the rest:
Quote:
Before leaving the colony for England three years earlier, John White left instructions with the colonists that if they were forced to abandon their settlement on Roanoke, that they were to carve out the name of the place where they were going and a Maltese cross under the carving if they left due to danger.

"CROATOAN" was the name of an island to the south (modern-day Hatteras Island), where a friendly native tribe was known to live, and it was thus reasonable to assume that the colonists had left the Roanoke settlement bound for that island. However, foul weather would keep White from venturing south to search on Croatoan for the colonists, and they returned to England. White would never return to the New World. The fate of the colony has never been authoritatively ascertained, and consequently it became known as "The Lost Colony".

Later, in 1880's, a man living in North Carolina wrote about what the Natives looked like there. He wrote he noticed some had "fair skin and light eyes and hair, with Anglo bone structure." These are not found among Native Americans normally, so some believe that the Roanoke colonists assimilated into the Croatoan Indian tribe.

Still a cool story though. And I guess that the comments by Secret and Dante give a good in-game explanation, that the virus wiped out most of the colonists before a few of them moved.

Just asked Adam in a comment how he thinks that stranger got his e-mail address when he makes a point of trying to keep it secret. I hope I didn't spam him unintentionally - it wants some form of google account, OpenID etc., and it seemed a bit wonky and mixed up my IDs a bit.

Turns out the comments are approval-only.

Funny but probably irrelevant.
I googled "Codex square 6x6" to see if that image is typically used in some specific codex translation, and the first hit was:

"The Puppeteer's Cosmic Puzzle" http://www.cosmicpuzzle.com/the%20cards.htm

I lol'ed

Codex image

The thing that jumps out at me (and probably everybody else thats seen it Smile )about the Codex image is that it appears to be intended to fold in half, in which case: M=S, N=T, O=U, P=V, etc. That also seems way too obvious. The image behind the letters makes me think of the skull head in the 2nd EYE video. Connection or coinkydink? I like the fact that they're not leaving us totally sitting on our hands til 4-1! Tank you, tank you, tank you!

In.

The sole comment on the TSO Myspace page, 'Kazy whoever the hell' seems kinda... pointless.

Adam Perry posted a short entry. Stating that the site is now fully in English. Computer glitch to blame, if you can believe that. [/sarcasm]

I might jump in on this.

I'm a Supernatural nut. The episode Croatoan is completely fictional. It was about a virus that basically turned humans into crazy killer people. And then they all just disappear.

There is no explanation in the episode. Aaaand I am preeeetty sure it is completely unrelated in this case.

Anyone notice the blog is down? Says it's not available for future postings either. Whats up with that?

(Also, anyone remember what it said?)

Works fine with me...? Both blogs, myspace TSO and Adam's.

He approved and added comments to the Codex post:

Hi,

FOR: this was, for now, all he sent me.
The exact words and the image attached to the message.

goodoldmartha: honestly, I have no clue.
I don't go around on forums etc. and post my whereabouts. For me, launching a personal blog was quite a big step Smile

So, how he/she got it, I have no clue.

Only thing I can think of, is that if he/she is from the future, then that means that my email would become public at some point in time...

Sorry, I'm just kidding.
That would be ridiculous,of course.

Very ridiculous indeed. Cool

sorry, I meant the tso blogspot link. It came up that it was removed.

I've been looking at that codex.

Obviously, the alphabet in perfect order doesn't make much of a codex. Perhaps it's the arrangement? 6 x 6?

The size of the file tells me it's not camouflaged but, one never knows.

I rather like Bella's idea about folding it in half.

I guess we'll have to wait until there's something to de-code it with, though.
